Felt a bit like you had walked into your friends home with all the personal stuff still there, felt a bit intrusive

The place is very well looked after and full of charm. The garden is private, ideal for lounging around in the afternoon. A few minutes walk down the hill to the beach and super close to local shops and restaurants.

It was a beautiful, well maintained property with a secure garden for both the children and our dog. Everything was clean and homely, and the beds were soft and comfortable. It was a great location, only minutes from the beach and local shops. Overall, it was wonderful, and it was lovely to be able to feel so at home there. Our children are additional needs and can feel quite stressed about being away from home comforts, but this lovely little cottage made them feel at ease, and they felt very at home there, as did our little terrier. If you're looking for a home away from home then this is the place for you.

Very comfortable, well-equipped house, with good instructions on how to buy stuff locally, enabling us to cook excellent dinners every night. It was also nice of the owner to make clear that we could if needed make use of already opened herbs/condiments etc. The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was also a nice touch. Lots of room in the house to relax, read, chat and/or get on with holiday projects.The garden in the sunshine was also very pleasant. The beach at Charmouth is quickly and easily accessible on foot (but also easy to drive down when the two nonagenarians in our party were with us.)

There was nothing we didn't like.

Location just a few minutes walk from the beach and coastal path. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Cosy sitting room. Nice garden to sit in. Great communication from the owner and getting access to the property was an easy process. A gift of Prosecco and nibbles was a really nice surprise on arrival. Lots of free available parking outside the cottage

Not too much negative about our stay - however I will mention the following: The house is full of the owners personal belongings. I might expect this from an air b&b but not something I book on Booking.com. The house is very cluttered. It looked like they had just gone out for a couple of days and left everything as it was. Not a massive problem but I did feel like I was intruding on someone 's property. I felt like I shouldn't have been there .The garden furniture could have done with being cleaned before our arrival. The weather was nice so we did use the garden but could not sit on some of the chairs which were covered in bird poo . Fortunately there were enough good ones for us to use but they could all have benefitted from a wipe down. Cobwebs and spiders in the kitchen were also not great.
