Terrace VuVu - Apartment with balcony in the heart of Budapest

Great communication from the owner from the start, location was superb for what we were interested in doing, there’s also a bakery we went to every morning on the same street to eat fresh pastry’s in the morning on the balcony. Spacious, great amenities - light and enjoyable to stay in. We 100% will be staying again in the future.

There was a constant foul smell coming from the toilet - potentially old building pipes? But the spray provided by the owner didn’t really cover it either

We loved this place and we'd definitely come back again. The large sitting room with high ceilings and good lighting really made it. The apartment is in a great location on Wesselényi utca, close to restaurants and bars and all the major sights. Having a balcony was great. The smart TV worked well. The kitchen is well equipped with a brilliant little capsule coffee machine. We thoroughly recommend the Klauzál Café across the park. We went there for my birthday and the staff were great. Out of all the hotels, apartments and BnBs we've stayed in, yours was the first ever to have one of those click-clack sink plugs that actually worked!

Please, please put a number on your door. We ended up going up and down the landing trying the keys in each door. We were there for 17 days and would have appreciated some more linen, garbage bags and dishwashing tablets. For future guests: The lift doesn't work (despite the light being on) and hasn't for 3 years. So be prepared to carry your suitcases up the stairs. There is a little window in the toilet that opens up to a ventilation shaft - this makes a big difference to the "aroma" in the apartment. A separate adapter block in the kitchen would be good. There are 4 electric plugs in the kitchen that need to be plugged in, but only three sockets and if you use the 3-way adapter provided you can't open the cooker lid.

Facilities were great. The washing machine definitely helped us to pack less. Location was great too. Close to going to major sightseeing places.

The check in process and full address were not shared well in advance. It's only shared when we arrived at the building (we did arrive earlier than check in time). But it's possible to share the information earlier on (without the passwords if that's to prevent people from getting in too early). It was a bit stressful to read the details when we all stood outside the building with luggages etc.. When I asked for clarification around the passwords (as there were different ones) on what's app, was told "it's all in the message", felt that's a bit impolite and unhelpful. If it's that clear, I won't be asking the question..... The toilet smelled quite bad before we even started to use it.

Η μυρωδιά της τουαλέτας ήταν ανυπόφορη.καταλαβαινω πως είναι λόγω παλιάς πολυκατοικίας αλλά από την άλλη δεν μπορείς να την αγνοήσεις

Η τοποθεσία εξυπηρετούσε καθώς ήταν πολύ κοντά στα περισσότερα αξιοθέατα και μαγαζιά που θέλαμε να επισκεφθούμε. Υπήρχε και στάση λεωφορείου ακριβώς έξω από την είσοδο.

Δεν είχαμε ενημέρωση για τη μη λειτουργία του ασανσέρ παρόλο που γνώριζαν πως θα είναι και παιδί στην κράτηση. Μεγάλη δυσκολία στην μετακίνηση.

Der Abfluss des Toilettenzimmers roch leider immer wieder sehr stark und es gab keine zu öffnenden Fenster, um zu lüften. Die Türe des WCs muss somit immer geschlossen sein, damit der Geruch nicht in den Rest der Wohnung gelangt. Zwischendurch war dennoch langes Stoßlüften notwendig. Weiteres Manko: Schimmel an den oberen Ecken (Fensterumgebung) der Küche und des Badezimmers. Glücklicherweise sind die Decken sehr hoch, sodass der Schimmel nicht allzu nah ist. In der Luft des Badezimmers ist der Schimmelbefall jedoch wahrnehmbar, d.h. es riecht muffig.
