V Ella Shali’s Home jsme byli ubytovaní 4 noci, pokoj byl prostorný a čistý, postel pohodlná a okolí klidné a krásné. Do centra Elly to bylo jen pár minut pěšky, případně tuktukem. Hostitelka Shali byla moc milá a ochotná. Pomohla nám s plánováním výletů, dala nám spoustu tipů a postarala se o to, abychom měli všechno, co potřebujeme. Každé ráno nám připravila výbornou snídani a na večeři skvělé domácí jídlo. Určitě moc doporučujeme.

Nice room, warm shower water on request. Even a hairdryer available. Host offered fruit, tea and juice several times. Even cooked dinner for us at request, the best we had in all of sri lanka so far, especially the jackfruit curry. Very lovely host who was always available for questions. Even helped us organise a tuk tuk to the train station, also offers to organise laundry. Location seems a bit outside but we actually found it perfect, very quiet (unlike the busy center) and surrounded by nature. Can easily reach the traintracks and walk to ella or ellas rock.

We enjoyed our last minute Stay. They were easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. When the wifi ran out, they made sure to add more so that we could work. The breakfast was very good. You can see monkeys and peacocks from the front balcony. Hot water was sufficient. The only thing we didn't like was the strong smell of mold. There is mold all over the ceiling by the bathroom and outside of the bathroom. If you are sensitive to mold like I am, this could be a problem. It may be hard to avoid in this area as it was so rainy and allt of moisture gets trapped

It was a really nice accommodation! It was a very calm environment. In front of your room there was a balcony where in the morning during a really nice breakfast (when it is not too hot yet) the sun is shining comfortable on your face. The host was really kind and friendly and she even helped me taking care of my wound on my knee as I had fallen just before reaching the place. In conclusion I can absolutely recommend the place. It is a bit further from the center, so if you want to be close to the center, you might want to reconsider. We however enjoyed the tranquility a lot. Walking to the main road takes ~15 minutes.
