Ella Shali's home

Our stay at Ella Shali’s Home was absolutely perfect! The room was spotless, with a huge and very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious and incredibly generous. The host was extremely kind and welcoming. The location was stunning, and the hotel is perfectly situated—just a pleasant walk from the center of Ella. Everything was ideal for us, and we even extended our stay for an extra night because we loved it so much!

Shashikala was the perfect host. I am traveling solo and she made me feel like home. The homemade meals, the afternoon teas, and all the directions and recommendations made me feel super welcome. The place is located a bit outside of Ella, which is really nice to get away from the crowd. The views are amazing, the space is cozy and super clean.

Friendly and helpful. Kettle. Washing and drying fair price. Availablity to have evening meal which was nicely cooked.

Room was very damp and so were our clothes. A lot of steps and steep slopes to access which was hard for me.But I am 73 and have some health issues but younger ones probably be fine. Just think it needs mentioning. In

Shali just has started her business, she is very caring, the location is a quite and simple area, we liked it very, especially in nice contrast to the busy and crowded center of Ella, that suffers so much of overtourism. If you go to Ella and do not like the masses, go to Shali´s!!!

Very nice and clean place, everything was new and comfortable. The hostess is very nice and attentive lady, greets you with tea every time (tea and coocies, but one time monkeys stole our cookies from the plate :) ). The place is up a hill, but it's in nature, surrpunded by trees and monkeys sometimes. Breakfast was huge and delicious, it was a lot of different stuff with delicious tea or coffee. Highly recommended.

Shaky is a really nice person. She offered me very tasty meal for dinner and breakfast.. the room is perfect, and there is a comfortable couch outside, which is nice to lay down. You have a hair dryer and a lot of plugs at your room. Highly recommend to any Traveller :)

The place is near the center, the room is perfectly well equipped, confortable and quiet. The host was adorable, she behave like a mom with me, it was so nice meeting her, she make rice and curry for me and omg it was the best rice and curry of my trip to Srilanka, the breakfast was very good and huge quantities! I recommande this place !
