Hotel Tugu Malang

Eye to detail, comfortable, great food, clean, and nice extra’s as the swimming pool and massages! Staff is also very friendly.

Wonderful! Spotlessly clean, incredible service (including a cake and flowers to celebrate my daughter’s birthday) and wonderful facilities- lovely pool. The restaurants are fantastic. Breakfast is amazing- fed us for the whole day!- and plenty of vegetarian options for breakfast and on the dinner menus. Staff and service are first rate!

Super zentral am Bahnhof gelegen und trotzdem eine Ruheoase. In manchen Bereichen kam man sich vor wie in einem kolonialen Museum. Auch das Zimmer war super schön und stilvoll ausgestattet

Beautiful hotel with loads of character and great choice of restaurants. Breakfast and afternoon tea were lovely.

The room had a bath tub, which was great and unusual in Indonesia, but no overhead shower and the shower head was not great.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute. The food is fabulous. The staff are so friendly and attentive and helpful. The rooms are cleaned beautifully and are very quiet. The hotel is a museum in itself and has such a great Javanese Colonial feel. The traditional afternoon tea each day was superb with such a great selection of teas and Indonesian sweets. We had a massage and this was so wonderful also.

Not the hotels fault but people who smoke around the pool and dining areas don’t respect non smokers while they are enjoying eating. Perhaps a couple of bigger No Smoking Signs could be more visible .

Het hotel zelf was zo mooi ingericht het leek wel een beetje op een museum. De bedden waren helemaal prima, personeel echt heel erg aardig! En err erg leuke lounge hoek waar je er. Lekker pilsje kan drinken (of wijn, maar daar betaal je wel flink voor). Locatie ook super en zwembad zag er heel mooi uit. Alleen wij kwamen laat aan en toen was het donker, en je zwemt dan als mensen aan het eten zijn in het aangrenzende restaurant dat voelt ook beetje raar. Eten was trouwens top en ontbijt voortreffelijk!

De airco deed het niet zo goed, het werd niet echt kouder, maar prima geslapen. Oh en de douche was in de avond koud, in de ochtend wel weer lekker warm!

Fabulous hotel and staff were incredibly attentive. John at the front desk especially took fantastic care of us and could do enough to ensure we had a great stay. The spa was a real highlight and the massage fantasic. The hotel looks small and unassuming from the outside but inside hides a quiet utopia from the busy city around and feel very private, although there were plenty of other guests there you never felt crowded. The pool was great and the breakfast was exceptional featuring a wide range of dishes and local street food classics. A free daily afternoon tea is available featuring delcious cakes and brilliant coffee. Easy to navigate around the city from here and walking distance to the train station. They even provided a complimentary packed lunch for for our hike. Really above and beyond service and location. The room was tasteful and clean and spacious enough for a 2 night stay.

Perhaps something to hide the pool area from the dining area.
