We tried so hard to like something but found nothing to like here

First the reviews on the booking.com looks no where near to the truth of this place. Location is quite difficult. They show swimming pool in their booking.com post but after booking the the you will get the message that the pool is under renovation.yet the charges for the place isn’t compromised. Food is quite expensive with respect to the quality and quantity served. We were total 3 guests at this stay hence hotel gave us the list of food we can pick for breakfast that was included in the price, we choose some thinking atleast food will be better. Trust me I never had such bad food! First it was cold served including tea and coffee was gold. We and other family also reminded them to serve hot yet kept on serving cold food! Aalu paratha was having only aata and no potatoes. They boast we have star gazing it looks more like sucide point can not view sky as the tall trees surrounded around it and very scary to sit out ! They told they arrange candle light dinner! I am not sure how someone can sit in not at all safe place and this hotel chains are utterly pathetic such a waste of money! We have nothing to do here only if you want to eat compromised food and go back to room you may waste your money here!

Location and cleanliness

We recently stayed at “The Hive”, Wayanad, for six nights. The overall experience has been very good. It’s a beautiful place for a vacation, especially if you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities and to unwind. The property is located in the middle of a coffee trail, very picturesque, surrounded by thick forests all around. If you are a nature lover and looking for some relaxed time, this is a great place to be to enjoy the serene and peaceful surroundings. It was an amazing feeling to wake up each morning to the cooing of birds and a fresh breath of air.  All the accommodations are beautifully built on the stilts on the slopes and give a great view of the surroundings. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quite modern, with all basic amenities. All the villas have independent balconies with the garden/forest views, and one can sit for hours watching the nature. The bathroom is well equipped, very clean, with separate shower cubicles, and has a round-the-clock hot water facility since Wayanad can get quite cold during winter months. The housekeeping team was prompt and did a great job each day. A special mention about Shamas from the team for his great attitude.  Breakfast spread was quite decent, (dosas can be better) and the restaurant serves good food overall, always willing to customise to your requirements. Since we chose to have all three meals for all six days at their restaurant, it was important that they offered us a good spread. Luckily, we were really pampered and very well looked after by the restaurant team, especially Anisha, Sushmita, and Reuben, throughout our stay, which was probably the highlight of our stay.

Areas of improvement: 1) Being a property with winding and uphill roads, it will be good to have “buggy” facilities instead of a car taking the guests up and down. 2) Senior citizens and guests with disabilities might have a problem, as neither the villas nor the restaurant has wheelchair access. 3)The involvement of senior management appeared nonexistent, with zero customer interaction, despite being a guest for six nights. Unlike in most resorts we stayed, the GM didn’t appear customer friendly to any guests, let alone us.
