Villa de Mer Bali

Owner has amazing communication and is super responsive- we ran out of water so I sent a message and I’d barely put my phone down before there was a knock at the door with a new bottle for the dispenser 😆 The beds are soooooo comfortable. The place has a nice aesthetic, lovely pool, beautiful supermarket & coffee shop just outside, nice & secure with the keypad entries. Gojek & Grab readily available for rides or delivery. The full size fridge & proper kitchen was awesome too, it was so nice to pop over to the market and then cook our own food- paired with the large dining table to sit & eat as a family, it was great- with 4 kids & a fully packed 3 week holiday it was nice to be able to implement a bit of comfort routine for a few days & feel at home ☺️

Not dislikes, just little things- some minor maintenance bits as is par for the course with most accom in Bali, and toilet paper/soap/coffee etc wasn’t replaced when run out, we had to ask for it BUT housekeeping are right outside in the office & quick to respond when asked so it’s no major issue :) I know some comments say your can hear the horns & sirens due to sunset drive being a stones throw - but we didn’t mind that at all, it’s all part of the Bali experience 🤍

We travelled with 2 young kids that loved the pool and loved using the bath . Enjoyed being able to buy Our own food to cook and eat in the villa on the days the kids didn’t want to eat out . Villa is across the road from a local grocery / mart which was so handy ! Although you must remember it doesn’t open until 9am , which can seem like a late open if you have early risers like we do. The staff were friendly , accommodating and very professional and approachable . Was such a nice treat that our villa was cleaved daily and fresh bath and pool towels provided . Air con worked very well. Each room had their own bathroom which was a must when I was looking for accommodation in Bali .

There was a lot to like about this property however there were a few maintenance issues that needed to be dealt with during our stay . One of our upstairs toilets leaked which then came into the bedrooms . When I notified the property manager they were prompt in coming to look at the issue and were able to move us to another villa . It was an unfortunate inconvenience however they were happy to give us a solution

The cleaning could have been done a little more regularly at a time each day.

Really liked the decor inside the villa, nice cozy inside area, good aircon, nice clean pool. Secure villa - felt very safe. Couldn’t hear any noise from the surrounding villas

No beers in the fridge - most villas provide drinks and if you use them you pay after the trip. Very minimal cleaning done throughout the trip - didn’t top up on toilet paper, had to go to office and ask for more, some days beds weren’t made. Lots of road noise from surrounding busy streets - police sirens, loud trucks etc especially on the weekend nights

Really loved the Villa. Very clean and comfortable beds. Great air-conditioning. Great Cafe across the road and supermarket also. We found the location central for our needs.

Would love to see some pool beds around the pool for comfort. There are 2 small been bags though. Need full length mirror in bedrooms.
