Ridho's Homestay & Jungle Trekking

The best jungle accommodation we have ever stayed at! The owner, Dedek, and his wife Sonja make you feel extremely welcome, they take care of all your needs and make you feel at home right from the start. The room is situated directly by the river, offering an absolutely breathtaking view of both the river and the surrounding jungle. There’s a lovely balcony where you can relax and even spot monkeys along the riverbanks. The room has everything you need, from a comfortable bed to a kettle for making coffee or tea. We also booked a one-day jungle trek directly through the homestay. Tony and Jonny were our guides, and they shared so much knowledge about the plants and wildlife. They really went out of their way to make the experience enjoyable for us. Thank you so much for an unforgettable time in Bukit Lawang!

place was 1 two room property on the rivers edge. View from door was of the river and the jungle. Peaceful. Macaque monkeys visible on other side of river and occasionally passed by on room side. Breakfast was simple and brought to the room to eat on the outside area. Decent cafes close by local food. Didek arranged trips for us and made sure they were on time and went well. No issues with his support. Local people were very friendly and felt safe and comfortable in the area.

As the property is on the side of a river, it cannot be accessed by car and involves a slightly tortuous back of a motorbike ride. Might be out of some peoples comfort zone.

Derek de eigenaar zorgde ervoor dat je niks tekort kwam. Hij heeft voor mij de jungletocht geregeld en een driver Poetra voor 5 dagen. Poetra vertelde onderweg alles over Sumatra en stopte bij leuke plekjes waar je als toerist normaal gesproken nooit zou komen.

Teplá voda, klimatizácia, skvelý výhľad na dažďový prales, raňajky na terase Ubytovanie v tichej časti, niekoľko reštaurácii a obchodov v bezprostrednom okolí. Izba je priestranná, vybavená, má teplú vodu, moskytiéru, sušiak na prádlo, sedenie na balkóne s výhľadom na rieku a dažďový prales. V noci žiadny hluk, len šum rieky. Luxusné raňajky podľa priania priamo na balkóne. Milí majitelia. Zabezpečia odvoz na motorke priamo k ubytovaniu. Zabezpečili nám skvelých sprievodcov Johnyho a Toniho, ktorí nám poskytli mnoho informácií. Absolvovali sme 1 dňový trek. Videli sme 1 orangutana a niekoľko endemitických Hulmanov thomasových (Presbytis thomasi).

Location was great with fantastic view over the river , room was spacious, plenty of restaurants in walking distance our favourite was the jungle inn best in the area first class chef.Ridho organised airport pick up at a reasonable price and a jungle tour with Johnny and Tony who were great guides. We were fortunate enough to see an orangatan mother and baby which was an amazing experience, really loved Bukit lawang we would of stayed longer and done another trek 3 nights wasn't long enough.

Wir hatten ein großzügiges Zimmer mit geräumigem Bad und Terrasse direkt am Flussufer. Phantastischer Ausblick. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und der Gastgeber äußerst freundlich und sehr bemüht, dass alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Über die Unterkunft buchten wir unseren Transport vom Flughafen Medan nach Bukit Lawang und wieder zurück. Die Fahrt dauert 4-5 Stunden. Unser Fahrer war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und alles lief super und problemlos ab. Unsere Dschungeltrekkingtour mit einer Übernachtung im Dschungel buchten wir auch über die Unterkunft. Es wurde alles perfekt organisiert. Unsere beiden Guides Randy und Toni waren grandios. Sehr sehr nett. Sie konnten uns viel erklären und waren immer bemüht, dass es uns gut geht, da die Trekkingtour doch schon etwas anstrengend ist. Sie zauberten phantastisches Essen aus ihren Rucksäcken und abends wurden wir bekocht. Wir haben mega viel gesehen. Klare Weiterempfehlung. Das war unglaublich schön. Vielen Dank an alle.
