House On The Hill

Mark and Nicky are the most perfect hosts. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and shown upstairs to the guest accommodation. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed super comfy and the en-suite shower room was spotless and modern, with toiletries provided and lovely fluffy towels. The accommodation has the bonus of a private lounge area, with comfy seats and tea/coffee machines, along with some tasty treats. This lounge area is where our breakfast was served to us, at our chosen time, the next morning. We both opted for the full English breakfast, which was beautifully presented and piping hot. Thank you, Mark and Nicky. We hope to return to Richmond and your lovely house one day.

I really appreciated the friendly interactions with Mark and Nicky. Attention to detail and thoughtfulness for the traveller was second to none. The quality of everything, including the furnishings, bathroom, food, cutlery etc all exceeded my expectations. The room was quiet and restful. The landing area where breakfast is served is an added bonus space for sitting and reading with fantastic views. I felt totally safe as a lone female in this property.

Hosts Mark and Nicky have created a real gem and manage it brilliantly.

We visited House on the hill for our wedding anniversary. It was amazing. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and shown around. It was our personal B & B. Our own entrance door, up a spiral staircase to a cosy mezzanine with seating and the best drinks making facilities, including a small fridge with fresh milk. We also arrived to a chilled bottle of wine and chocolates. We even received a card for our anniversary. 🤩 The bedroom was spotless, large and very comfortable, with plenty of plug points. The en-suite was immaculate, with plenty of clean towels, and toiletries. The breakfast was served to our mezzanine at the time we requested, and it was delicious, with plenty of fresh coffee. Very professional. Loved it.

Nothing. The only thing I will say, and the name gives it away, it is situated on a hill, so if you're walking into town, you will have to climb a short hill on the way back, but we didn't find it a problem, and I'm not the fittest. 🤣
