Ann's Garden flat

Really cosy place to stay. Well equipped and very clean.

Very well furnished and scrupulously clean, in a beautiful area

The ceilings were very low and we kept banging our heads. There was no. mention of this on booking. com but to be fair Ann did put it on her website which I did not see at the time of booking.

The place was beautiful, both the views and the rooms. The hosts are really nice and gave us good advice. Thanks for yourr warm hospitality. We will come back for sure!

Nothing. Maybe the entrance to the kitchen is a little bit low. Consideri this if you are tall!

We were really taken by the cleanliness and provision of many little home comforts that were available :-)

Lovely location. Free parking by the property. Large garden. Everything you need is provided in the flat. Mix up over whether dog friendly last minute . I 100% thought it was. They kindly let us bring our small non moulting dog who slept in a cage in the lounge.

No mention of doors heights in the description, just ceilings. Kitchen door was 5’2 Ceiling about 5’8”. Husband is 5’10’. He had to stop going in the kitchen for his own safety. Cannot work in a kitchen bent over. Had multiple bangs from the top door frames despite the ‘duck’ warnings above doors.Had to bend over in the shower. All not what you expect. It is not an old cottage but a newish modern looking flat. Husband became unwell and we had to leave a day early. All doors must have been less than 5’10’ because he banged his head on them all. Not acceptable for UK average male height. Had to ask for the central heating to be put on twice as we were both cold. No control of this in the flat. I was fine at 5’1’ and it was my birthday treat so my husband put up with it for 2 nights. He then suggested we leave a day early in case he got worse after another day of head bumps. He had to drive back while he safely could. Very stressful journey back for us both. Got checked at the GP 3 days later and no mild concussion thankfully. We accept it was our fault for not saying something on arrival as it was certainly not suitable for us. My birthday treat was ruined for us both. We didn’t want to lose 3 days of fees as it did say no refunds on the cheapest tariffs. A lot of money to lose but regret not doing it now.
