A Casa da Meixida

The house has a character, first time I stayed in a house like that. The beds were comfy which was very nice as we needed a rest before our last day on the Camino. The room we booked has a spa tub. They also provide a free breakfast

The house is very near to the camino walk, but we had to cross a big road with fast moving vehicles to get to the place. (We are not sure if there are other ways). It's a little scary.

Casa da Meixida was a very pleasant stay. Nicely decorated and very clean.

There was no one to greet the guests.

I believe choosing this hotel as my last accommodation on the Camino de Santiago was an excellent decision. First, the location is very good. If I had chosen accommodation in Padrón, the final journey to Santiago Cathedral would have been about 26 km, which would have made the last stretch very difficult. By choosing this hotel, which is about 5 km north of the city center, the final walking distance was reduced to about 21 km, making the last leg much less strenuous. Beyond the good location, this hotel offered a cozy feeling I hadn't experienced before. The hotel is a remodeled, vintage-style house, giving the impression of staying in a private home. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind. Although breakfast is normally served at 7:30 a.m., when I requested to eat at 6 a.m., they prepared the breakfast in advance and allowed me to serve myself before leaving. Nearby, there is a supermarket next to a gas station and also a restaurant. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I pass through this area.
