Bea's Parkway Inn

The property is very quaint with comfortable beds, nice showers, and is located in a convenient spot, not in the middle of everything but not very far away. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. My partner and I would stay again if we return to the area!

My only complaints are the lack of available outlets, the gap under our door (easily resolved by putting a towel in front of it), and the Roku that kept taking itself back to the home menu.

Unable to reach the front desk as phone number rang to a service. Difficult time checking in as motel seem short staffed (it must have taken a good 20-30 minutes to check in). We were going to be given the wrong room, but grateful that this was corrected. Office smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and most walking areas smelled heavily of cigarette smoke due to the many, many outdoor ashtrays. (Note - non smoking room did not smell like smoke.) All bed pillows were missing pillow covers under the pillow cases (kind of gross and certainly unsanitary).

Location is close to downtown Mount Airy and several nice restaurants. There is a main drag outside of the motel, but it was quiet on a Saturday night.

Nobody at the office although we had texted and left a message to say we'd be there at 9:15 pm. Was able to reach a manager from sister motel and he arrived promptly. However, the room key did not work. Manager used his master key to open the door, but we never did receive another key. Room was very clean and mattress was ok. No glasses available for drinking. Shower was fine but towels were Very Thin. Pillows were so flat that I had to bring in a pillow from our car. Unfortunately I left it behind. I did call two different numbers asking them to reach out to me so I could pay to have the pillowcase returned but never did reach a live person. We never saw anybody at checkout either! However the place was safe and clean and I guess I couldn't expect much more than that for the price that we paid.

Booking.com was very helpful to get my refund and even paid the difference for the second hotel!

When I arrived to check in, I was informed that they overbooked and did not have a room for me so I had to find another place to stay.

It was clean, quiet and nostalgic, staff was courteous and attentful to my needs
