2 Southwell Road - Luxurious City Centre Apartments

The property was very clean and modern and Good facilities.

Found the bed quite hard and didn’t sleep very well because of people staying in room above where very noisy constantly moving about, walking around all night. Could hear every foot step.

Location was great, residential area. Plentiful shops, takeaways etc. Parking available, read the signage!

Flat 2 door opens straight into kitchen lounge, strange layout sofa pushed into radiator. Cups and glasses were in short supply. Bedroom was small bed pushed under window and had to climb over partner to get in and out of bed. En suite tiny, huge hot radiator and the hottest water in the shower, which needs descaling. No option to lower temperature of water it was scalding hot. Plug drain needs cleaning. Noisy neighbours spolt our Fruday night.

Quite modern and clean

In a rough area There was a party in the apartment above until 5am no sleep. Lack of sound proofing in floor above. Someone dancing above in heels sounds like a horse and cart.

The bed was comfy

The property smelt of weed, shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, body hair in the shower drain, no remote for the tv, no instructions to connect to the WiFi, stains on the settee, a chair and room mat looked grubby, quite a few items that were supposed to be in the property wasn’t in there, outside door was a pain to lock, only one key for the property, no parking, only one toilet roll provided which was ruined when the shower tray leaked all over, only two pillows in total on each of the double beds which were flat, only two towels per person, a couple of things didn’t work, bedside table had a burn mark on it, a lot of marks on the walls which was a shame as it is nicely decorated, only one clothes rail with a few hangers on which also had to double up to hang your coats on, no instructions with regards how to use the heating system and no response from the owners regards anything even though I contacted them within 10 mins of arriving. Most definitely not worth what we was charged to stay here.

Great location - easy walking distance to the city centre and big Sainsburys. Nice living area.

When we arrived there was still things being washed in the dishwasher so we had no access to mugs or glasses. When the cycle finished we opened it to find one wine glass. There were no others available in the apartment. We weren’t very happy as one of us had to drink wine from a mug. The washing machine was also still running. I’m not sure if the cleaners left it too late to come in but these things should have been done and put away before we arrived. An inventory check should also be done to make sure there’s no missing items. We were also expecting to have the same apartment as last time. There’s no way to choose your specific apartment so when we turned up and had a much smaller one which was the same price we paid last time for a bigger, better apartment - we weren’t very impressed. We visit Norwich quite often and thought this would be our go-to place to stay but after this most recent visit we are going to look elsewhere.
