May House 3 Bedroomed House Whitby

Excellent location for walking to the town/ cliff top/ cinder track. Managed to park directly outside. Well equipped, plenty of space for 4 adults. Good to have 2 bathrooms. Very comfy bedrooms, nice and dark with blinds and curtains. Very cosy

we think is 6 adults were there it would be a bit of a struggle for room but it was perfect for 4 adults

Warm and comfortable. Cosy for winter. Good supply of toilet roll, hand wash etc so seem to have listened to previous comments. Top floor shower very warm.

Could do with extra cleaning, found previous occupants food in the kitchen sink (onions/potatoes) and needs a good dust on top of fridge etc. Quite low ceilings for anyone tall.

The location & cleanliness of the property was exceptional.

The bed or mattress on top floor needs replacing very springy & very uncomfortable which was a real Shame as everything else was great!

Beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been to lots of self catering establishments, I don’t normally have to take toilet rolls or hand soap, there was a lack of toilet rolls and only one hand gel in the downstairs toilet.

May House is a ten minute walk into the centre. There is a park one can go through to avoid the main road if you want to. We were able to park the car outside May House, though there is probably an element of luck in being able to do this. May House was very clean and the soft furnishings are of good quality - bed linen, towels etc. It is nicely decorated. There are plenty of kitchen utensils if needed and a large oven (we didn't use it).

The two single beds are small - more suitable for children than adults. The internal stairs are steep, so beware if you have small children

The decor was nice.big sofa in the front room. lots of utensils in the kitchen if you wanted to cook.Hairdryer in every room. Top floor bathroom nice and big and showers were powerful. Ease of access on arrival with keys. Great location if you don't mind a little walk into town. Lovely gargoyles .

The lighting in the kitchen not bright enough. The handle on bathroom (Ground floor) needs fixing/changing,every time someone used it they couldn't get out.Could not cook anything on stove or make a piece of toast without the fire alarm going off(very annoying). No toilet roll or soap in top floor bathroom. Top floor bed/mattress needs changing.
