I wasn't sent any instructions on how to check in until after 3pm. I was emailed a code for key safe 1, there was no key in there. I then emailed the owner, no reply so after standing outside the property for 4 hours i then left to find somewhere else to stay.

This is not a studio apartment. It is a room in a house like a HMO. It should not be advertised as a studio. Nowhere does it explain the shared facilities. The room was not clean, the living room had blankets on the settee indicating there were people sleeping on the settee. The room I was allocated had no handle on the door meaning when I came out I could not pull it closed. I would not of felt safe staying there I left the keys on the table in the room & booked somewhere else to stay. I have taken photos which I will be sending to Booking.com & I would like my money refunded. The place is a disgrace. The review posted previously by someone previously was bang on explaining how it probably did not meet any standards & should be removed from listings - I only wish I’d read the reviews before I booked it.

See above. There is nothing good it has been wrongly listed it is not a studio apartment it is a tired dirty room in a house like a HMO.

Room quite good. I had travelled from Scotland and needed a room for the night whilst more permanent accodation with a friend was being organised.

It was possible to check in an hour earlier, and to enter at our convenience early in the morning after an event.

Even though it was confirmed we could check in an hour earlier, when we arrived we had no information as to how to enter. There was a PIN code on the Booking.com website, but that didn’t work. So we had to wait and call the owner, who a few minutes later sent us another PIN. Not a big deal, but for sure could have been smoother. The big issue was that the bathroom had not been cleaned (we had to flush a used toilet to clear what was in it and the smell, and wash out the floor of the shower), that the ceilings were mouldy with damp, and that there was what looked like dried blood staining the bath mat. Not very pleasant. I shared feedback on that with the owner and received no apology or acknowledgment but instead a false suggestion that my message was sent long after check-in (it wasn’t) and was “strange”. Apart from that it was ok - a basic set-up - but fine.
