"An authentic place and amazing experience in a beautiful landscape"

10.0

An absolutely authentic place with lovely rooms that have all necessary comfort. Breakfast is mostly from a menu but has an additional buffet for some extra treats. Beds are very comfy. Really kind, attentive, and helpful personnel. Simply an amazing experience.

"No Complaints"

Breakfast was good no complaints, beds were very comfortable. Good parking and easy access to the Great barn for a wedding

Floorboards in the corridors were a bit creaky when people passed by the room but to be expected in an old building

Lovely staff and great character building, mind your head if tall. But great location for my purposes, lots of green around and nice country village atmosphere.

Getting into the car park feels a little tight in a big car so take care

"Last time for me at this venue."

3.0

A great pub/b&b which i have used a few times before. The barman who seemed to do every job apart from cook was excellent as usual. Maybe the chef should be the barman.

Evening meal was awful and returned and reimbursed. How you can over cook very simple fish & chips and have so little pride in your job to even think that a better place than the bin, was to send it out to a paying customer i will never know. I was offered a different meal if I wanted one but on the basis that Fish & Chips was too much, I decided against it and waited until breakfast which was very good.

"Good value but heating needs some more thought"

8.0

Quirky room in a very picturesque village pub. The room was large, airy and charming. Enjoyable overnight stay.

The ground floor room was really quite cold even with the electric heater on all night. The bathroom was simply cold and I’m surprised there is no large switchable towel rail.
