We liked the building as it has lots of period character - the rooms were clean; showers hot; towels and bedding good quality; had all the usual facilities. Ordering of food and drink straightforward. Freshly cooked breakfast was excellent with local produce and a good choice.

Unfortunately, the bed/mattress was too firm for all of us. I have back & hip pain so I had an uncomfortable couple of nights. My son commented that there wasn't a lounge area to sit and relax on sofas etc.

"Perfect night's stopover with friends: good food, warm rooms ...recommended."

Busy traditional inn/hotel with "Locals" staying (always a good sign). Good selection of "pub style" food for evening meal. Received a "complimentary room upgrade" due to "Genius level". Will stay again.

Very warm and friendly staff, nice bar, good food.

Bed not brilliant and bathroom very small. That said, I will definitely stay there again, I’m being super picky. I highly recommend.
