Steele Mansion Inn & Gathering Hub

This mansion has been lovingly and carefully restored by the owners. It is absolutely exquisite with all of the antiques and detail to the reconstruction. It’s a gem for Painesville! Just wandering through the rooms is enjoyable, and the basement has a billiards table and other game options.

The breakfast was good but typical of most Bread & Breakfast

This is a "would have liked" - An afternoon cocktail mixer or wine and crackers for guests to meet each other.

Breakfast was fine. Standard. Some reviews made it sound like it is extraordinary.

It’s a nice place to stay when visiting our Lake Erie College student.

Our only complaint is about the person working the front desk and bar (double duty). She wasn’t rude, she just had zero personality. Not that I want my bartender to be my best friend, but a little small talk when we are the only people in the place would have nice. The last time we stayed, our bartender was super friendly, recommended restaurants in the area, showed us how to make our son’s favorite drink, told us a better way to book next time… this one didn’t say a word to us, it was odd.

Every thing about Steele Mansion was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful and clean. There were plenty of games in the basement to keep us entertained when we were not out and about.

This place is a treasure. It high end European luxury at Painesville pricing!! The best discovery in the last decade!!

There is not even a miniscule to not like!!!
