"Perfect place to stay to explore the Coromandel Peninsula."

Everything! Situated above Thames with great views, Anna-Marie and Johan were perfect hosts for our 3 night stay. The Cottage is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast provisions were more than generous and Anna-Marie kept us supplied with additional treats.

The room was very comfortable with lots of extras, fruit, magazines , a lovely outdoor setting with table and chairs. We arrived latter in the day but the next morning we received our scones and cream…delicious ! A lovely breakfast and coffee.

"Unexpected amazingness"

We got upgraded to the cottage which was amazing. The host is super keen and gave us little treats once we arrived and stuff to cook our own breakfast. Access to a pool and the most amazing sunset view. The cottage facility is amazing.

"Would have loved another night stay!"

A charming property separate from the main house which gave us privacy. Accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable with wonderful views of the bay and surrounding lands. Our hosts were very helpful, informative but especially accommodating with our needs. Anna Marie is so obliging and a wonderful cook. Her breakfasts were exceptional with generous provision and delicious extras. The accommodation is very well provided with all the necessary gadgets High made self catering so simple. Thanks Anna Marie and Johan. Pool use was so welcome.

We thought no barbecue might be a slight issue but it quickly proved to not be a problem at all due to the very well equipped kitchen meaning we could still enjoy superb Angus steaks, thanks NZ.

Chartre Manor was for us an ideal place to stay. We were warmly greeted by Anna-Marie and she went over and above to supply us with breakfast food, snacks, drinks, which we highly appreciated. The location on a hill overlooking the land and the water was great. There were sheep and rabbits in the field, which along with the many birds gave a relaxing atmosphere. The cottage is very quiet and spacious. Thames has several good restaurants. We would definitely stay here again when we visit New Zealand.

Very friendly host - could not do enough. Good location, comfortable, plenty to eat. Welcome drink. Lots of good advice of where to go in Coromandel
