So friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble they went above and beyond what we were expecting. It was the best experience ever. A******. We will definitely be going back. Loved every moment of our stay. THANK YOU 😊

Chartre Manor is set in a great location - high on a hillside above Thames with great views over the Firth of Thames. The sunsets are spectacular. Anna-Marie is a great host - couldn't do too much for us and the cottage is very well stocked with foodstuffs for breakfasts/snacks.

TV in cottage has good range of Sky channels - but wasn't "smart", so no Netflix. Also, booking.com says there is a washing machine in the cottage - it isn't, it is in an adjacent garage and, unfortunately, didn't work properly whilst we were there.

Independent, spacious and fully equipped cottage. The quality and range of provisions supplied were exceptional as was the welcome and attention from the hosts. Great location with some views.Easy to find.

A fabulous place up on the hill above Thames. We only spent one night here but it would be great for longer as there is a comfortable living room, well equipped kitchenette and a dining table inside and one outside. The sunset from the veranda outside was amazing to see. The welcome from Anna-Marie & Bailey the dog was so lovely. Breakfast provisions were very generous and the home made apple pie and cream was gorgeous.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage, hosted by Anna-Marie and Johan. The cottage has charm, beautiful views and it’s in a very quiet location. The space is private with ample parking for a large car. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, and Anna-Marie keeps the fridge stocked with all essential items, breakfast and snacks throughout the day. There was fresh eggs, bacon, cheese, jam, bread, croissants, smoked salmon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, all different kinds of beverages, cookies, etc. Anna-Marie also stopped by and delivered fresh produce and additional snacks! She was warm, welcoming, and very quick to respond to messages. The small kitchen has everything you need, including a portable HOB burner and an electric frying pan for cooking. Everything is stored in the kitchen cupboards. We loved having air conditioning as we were there during a heat wave. Finally, the best part of our stay was the hospitality of our hosts. I highly recommend this peaceful paradise!

Gorgeous views from self-contained cottage. Well appointed kitchen. Comfy beds. Hot showers with great water pressure. Luxurious breakfast. A little start-gazing from this quiet area a few minutes out of town. Anna-Marie was a wonderful warm friendly host. Would go back there!

The homeowner was very welcoming and shared tomatoes from her garden and eggs from her chickens. She filled the fridge with food for us. The view and sunset were spectacular.
