The kindness of Giulia, the decoration 🫶🏻

We've stayed for one night only in between our transfers and could not pick a better place for our last night in Sicily. Giulia was such a sweet host! She welcomed us with a big smile on her face and offered a lot of great tips where to go in Catania and what to see. She also arranged a taxi for us since we were leaving very early in the morning and did not manage to book it ourselves due to language barriers with the taxi company. Our room was clean and very comfy, for longer stays it might feel a bit small but that's my personal opinion only. The bathroom was located out of the room as clearly explained in the booking details and amenities, not sure why people act so surprised in their reviews? :) We booked the room with knowing this information and were lucky enough to have it for ourselves anyway since the other room was not occupied at that moment. Considering the location, price & amenities this is the best choice in the area! The highlight is definitely the terrace with an amazing view of beautiful Etna, we grabbed a pizza and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Catania.

I've been backpacking a lot in the last years, Guilia and her place are definitely one of my favorite places. We have been visiting Catania as a couple and we are really happy with our choice. Guilia contacted me a day before our stay, giving us all necessary information I would need for our arrival by car on the next day, regarding parking ect, with very quick response times to my questions. On our arrival, Guilia gave us a map with plenty of her favourite places to go out and visit. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the castle, which is 5 minutes from Follow the Sun. We visited on a Friday, the place is in a quiet side street close to the castle on the top floor. If it's not some fireworks, we were quite protected from the noise of the city. The place is in perfect condition, it's a very new place, but also their home - so they will always keep it clean. The beds and the room were in perfect condition, I was a little afraid to touch a wall while carrying our luggage. The bathroom was modern and perfectly clean. Hot water was immediately accessible. The obvious highlight of this place is the rooftop terrace. In the morning you have a great view on Etna, in the night onto the Ciesa-Skyline of Catania. Guillia also provides you with drinking water and wine glasses and offers a fair priced laundry. We are sad we only stayed one night.

I highly recommend. The owner was so nice, she helped us with everything. Also the location is great, you have everything near.

Conveniently located near many main monuments with lots of comforting touches and hugely helpful staff. Giulia went above the expected in communicating, ensuring there was a restful place waiting. House itself felt very safe & secure.

Proximity of the other bedroom and sharing the space - but this was extremely well done.

Few flights of stairs to bring luggage up but no big deal.

Giulia’s apartment is in a very good location to easily walk to the most important points of interest. You can park the car in the street for free without problems. Giulia and her boyfriend are both very nice people and always ready to help and give an advice. Follow her tips, it will be worth it. The room is small but has everything you need, the best part of the house is definitely the terrace where you can enjoy glass of wine with a beautiful view on the Etna.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We loved out host. She was very sweet and helpful. She suggested many places we should visit and places where to eat. The room was clean and quite comfortable. The view from the terrace was amazing, we could see the Etna. Definitely recommend to stay here.

One of if not the best experiences I have had staying at a b&b. Giulia was an amazing host and super helpful providing us with many recommendations of everything from restaurants to bars to landmarks to beaches to go to. Paolo picked us up from the airport and was great as well. Both of them were so kind. The room was spacious and modern with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in and powerful air conditioning which we especially appreciated given we were there during a heatwave. The rooftop terrace was one of our favorite things about the place and was our favorite place to enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying a spectacular view of the city with Mt Etna in the background. The place is located in the center of town with everything between a 5-15 minute walk away. I honestly can not recommend this place enough❤️
