Casa Anna - Appartamento a San Gimignano

Size and amenities as advertised, easy check in at 13:00, Lavinia met us at the door. Very clean and elegant, good air con and wifi, washer & old fashioned coffee machine, microwave and toaster, well-equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, dozens of restaurants nearby.

Located at N end of town 1 km from bus stop and the only grocery store.

We really liked this place. It's spacious and has a large, comfortable sofa. Everything is new, modern and clean. The apartment is tastefully decorated. The showers are large by Italian standards. This was a real treat for us. I could comfortably bend over to wash my lower legs in the shower, which is something I'll never take for granted again. The apartment has a washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave oven. There's free, gated parking with easy access. You don't have to drive through old town San Gimi to get there. However, it's a very short walk up the street to one of the old city gates. Really, the location is ideal. The young man who helped us to check in was very cheerful, efficient and informative. The only thing that could have been better is having a remote control to the car park gate that worked. Each time we entered or exited the parking area, someone had to activate the electric gate manually with a key. It was no problem for me because my wife or niece was there to help. However, if you were on your own, opening the gate and driving out before the gate started to automatically close would be interesting. Also, it's necessary to back out of the parking area onto the one way street. If a car is parked on the street opposite the gate, the angle to make a left turn is impossible. All in all, I give this rental very high marks. You may have higher standards than me, but I'm pretty picky.

The property was exceptional, perfect location, very clean, spacious, beautifully furnished and great showers. An added plus is the private parking. The host Davide was very friendly and helpful and showed us the property upon arrival. San Gimignano is a beautiful town and a great base to explore other nearby Tuscan towns.
