St John's City Centre House-Free Parking

Location is excellent. Parking was on-street but plenty of spaces available. House was spacious, quiet and clean.

Some of the cooking equipment (pans etc) had seen better days and were not very usable. Stairs to top room are very steep

The location is excellent. The house has great potential.

House needs a refurb. One sofa & chair were ok, the other sofa had two broken legs, was uncomfortable & was very tired looking. There was very little in the kitchen for cooking a meal if you want to eat in. The few pots that were there are all badly damaged. No good knives, no bread knife or serrated knife. The integrated fridge door came off making it very difficult to open. The coffee machine that was listed as being there was nowhere to be found. The window blinds were broken & unless you were fairly tall are difficult to open & close. The pillows are awful. Stairs are difficult the one up to the attic floor are extremely difficult, even for a fit person with tiny feet. They did offer to send someone to try & do something about the blinds & do some cleaning but we didn't want the hassle for the four days we were there.

The hot water in one of the showers wasn't working that weekend.

We had a great stay at the property. The accommodation was spotless and modern and very comfortable. The distance from York Centre was great, 10 mins walk which was a bonus. The hosts were really helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed.

Property was absolutely beautiful. Incredibly well presented, excellent location. Would stay again and again!

Loved the location - the property was perfect for a weekend away to celebrate a special birthday with friends - two bathrooms perfect - lovely and clean throughout with fresh linen!
