Spacious Five-Bedroom House Close to York Centre - Orchid House

We loved everything about the property and location.

Scruffy - toaster only half worked. Sockets hanging off. Smoke alarm hanging off. Electrics tripped ..

The house was clean and comfortable with a very nice garden where there was a basketball hoop for the kids. There was also a table in the garden for us to eat outside. The conservatory was very nice and the kitchen was clean and modern. All appliances working. Beds very comfortable and space in bedrooms. Nice big bathroom, clean. Other toilets also clean and good condition. The property was in a good location for us to get easily into York and to the University for the graduation we were attending.

Not a big thing but one of kitchen cupboard doors under sink had broken hinges. (My husband fixed it).

Located in a very quiet residential location and not expensive to get a taxi into town. The property was very clean and perfect size for 5 adults. It worked out about the same cost as a city centre hotel for one night for all of us. I was surprised that we could rent for just one night. Off road parking available and also able to leave the car in the road after we checked out without any concerns.

It was a student house and shows some signs of wear and tear - a good coat of paint would be all it takes. The beds were too short for my 6ft sons, and no one found the memory foam pillows comfortable. Note, there are no double beds.

Some instructions, as couldn’t get the hob to work. Lighting in front bedroom very poor and some pillows very uncomfortable. Would have appreciated some bedside lamps.

Good location, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Easy to find and parking for 2 cars.

Insufficient seating for all to sit in the lounge. Cleaning is not up to standard. Unable to find TV remote controls

It's a good sized house and rooms Good ,quiet area Could be a great place with a bit of effort and minimal expense Bathrooms and bedrooms fine and spacious.No double beds-this worked with our group,couples might find odd.

No hot water,one shower not hot until sorted at our request.Uncleaned fridge and greasy cooker hood.Dust and cobwebs in corners and skirting boards.Lounge seating suitable for a max of 5 people.Odd things left around the house.No dish cloths or towels until asked for.No teaspoons.No tea or coffee .
