Spacious Five-Bedroom House Close to York Centre - Orchid House

Lots of single beds which were comfortable. Clean sheets, spacious kitchen. Friendly contact person who promptly helped with issues (see below). Quiet neighbourhood.

Heating was broken when we arrived. They did come round to look at it immediately and got an emergency plumber who fixed it but it wasn’t an ideal start. There was only seating for 5 people in the living room. The kitchen was not very well equipped - no wine glasses, bottle opener, can opener (they provided one when asked) and only a single cup cafetière. The hall light was missing a bulb so it was dark. No curtains in the dining room. Overall a bit soulless. Generally clean but orange peel left lying in one of the bedrooms. We had a lovely weekend in York but as others have commented, a small amount of effort would have made a huge difference.

location and size of house. It is a very big place with plenty of space

a little bit tired round the edges and needs some care. dozens of light bulbs need replacing. radiator in front bedroom was leaking. the boiler had a known fault ( there was a note stuck to boiler telling you how to circumvent the fault) and needed a service. only 1 of the many pans in the.kitchen worked on the induction hob!! with a minimal of money spent on the prooerty it would be magnificent!

Plenty of bedrooms

No iron/ironing board or wine glasses and looks a bit tired in places

Large accommodation which would fit a big group comfortably. Clean and has a good kitchen if you need to cook.

Location a bit away from town but quiet residential area so that's a positive.

Heating was good in December

No glasses to drink Pillows were awful Zero homely touches Felt like student accommodation

Lots of bedrooms with single beds, big garden, kitchen & dinning room.

Electrics kept tripping everytime we put kettle on in morning.

A large house can accommodate a group of people comfortably.
