Rural Log Cabin in Snowdonia near Coed y Brenin by Seren Short Stays

The location is very rural, quite remote, and peaceful. *However* it is not in the location shown on here. It's actually in/next to Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, so nothing within walking distance. The bed was comfortable, and the cabin itself was cute, albeit slightly outdated in parts. The kitchen is mostly well stocked with a mismatch of crockery, glasses and cutlery, as well as pans, treats, etc. but only one regular sized wine glass. Sofa was perfectly comfortable in my opinion. Adequate plug sockets and lighting. Plenty of hooks, and a large wardrobe in both bedrooms. WiFi worked well. Parking is easy directly in front of the cabin. There is a small garden area and deck, which is mostly obscured from the neighbouring cabins.

Unfortunately the shower drain was blocked during the entirety of our 3 day stay. When I initially informed them via the messaging system, I didn't get an answer after 5 hours so eventually found a way to call them, but the lady that answered sounded disinterested in the issue. Fortunately a handyman did come a few hours later, and he was very friendly, but sadly the issue persisted until after we checked out. The shower itself was pleasant, but we could only use it for about 3 minutes otherwise the shower tray would overflow! No hot water through the taps. The signs on the cabin door about paying the security deposit don't come across very friendly/welcoming. Small bedrooms, but large wardrobes for storage. No socket near mirror suitable for drying hair etc. The deck is rotten in one area, and my toddler actually fell into the hole while we were packing the car, and scraped his knee on the nail that sticks out. Needs fixing urgently! Tricky to get the temperature right as there is no central heating, but a series of different types of electric radiators. Only BBC worked on the TV, but the smart TV allows you to log in to various apps.

Location was great, the cabin was lovely, suited our family perfectly. It was clean and maintained. Perfect size for our needs.

The sofa was a little uncomfortable if I am nit picking and we didn't appear to have the key for the patio doors, when the weather perked up it would have been nice to be able to open these.

Location, cleanliness and check in process were spot on

The TV remote wasn't working. More glassware would have been better. No portable fan for those warm summer days
