Chapter Two - Melbourne

Character of the property and location is great. Quiet at night and good amount of space, plus nice roll top bath. Responsive helpful hosts.

The spiral stairs took a bit of getting used to. The parking was quite tricky as was the middle of summer.

Great location, characteristic and enjoyed the decor.

There was no washing machine so we had to locate a laundry 10 miles away at a cost. There were no full sets of glassware. The cutlery and glasses needed restocking. There was also no storage for dry food. One of the beds wasn’t made up on our arrival.

Beautiful property with character in central Melbourne

The apartment is in a converted chapel. It is quirky and nicely decorated. Melbourne is a pretty town with good shops and restaurants.

The bedroom on the top floor was quite cold as there was a small window high up, out of reach, which was open all the time. Also the velux window does not have a blackout blind so that the room gets light at daybreak. The on-street parking is on a narrow, busy street, but there is a car park within walking distance (this was mentioned by the owner). There is a steep metal spiral staircase, not suitable for small children or people with limited mobility. No outside light so you need a torch during the hours of darkness.

Location. Quirky, clean and smart apartment.

Stairs. Not the best for old goats like us, especially using facilities at night.
