"Attention required in Room 1"

5.0

Location is excellent. Angela was very helpful & accomodating when we arrived. Saw her during our travels out and she was very friendly asking if we had settled etc.

Shower needs servicing. Cleaning needs to be upped. Glasses & cups filthy tray dirty.Dead flys & cobwebs on sill and around window. Attention needs to be paid to curtains also bath room toiletries need attention & should not be watered down.

"Accessing the building is a joke and once in nothing special and very, very noisy"

1.0

Nothing, hated the accommodation. The cafe underneath the rooms do a fantastic breakfast and the Advocate Arms pub across the road do wonderful food, but stay some where else.

The rooms are accessed by a coded door lock at the front door then another coded lock at each room. We were promised codes to the doors by e-mail a few days before arrival however we got nothing. I phoned before we set of for Market Rasen and was told no to worry, we would hear something before our 2 pm check in, however still nothing. 2 o’clock came and still nothing so we desperately pleaded with the people in the cafe below the rooms to help. They were wonderful and managed to get us the code for the front door. Next challenge was the lock on the door to the room, which we could not fathom out. There was a contact number in the building so we tried that and were told another code that you have to input after wafting your hand in front of the lock to wake it up. This pantomime took us an hour to sort out and made us late meeting some friends at the racecourse. Also, just as we gained access to our room another couple in the next room were struggling so I gave them my phone as I had got hold of someone who could explain how the locks and codes worked. When they got into their room it was full of another guests possessions, clothes / I-pads / make up etc … looked like a double-booking, you couldn’t make it up. Basil Fawlty would have been proud! The room itself was on a main road and very, very noisy, the windows were old single glazed aluminium framed units that didn’t close very well. The room was small and not decorated very well, we wont be going back.

"Good location and tastefully decorated"

Location and value

Cups were dirty and an open bottle of water was left on the tray - think it may have been missed.

"The bed was not very comfortable and the dog barking in another room woke us early!"

Location is as good as it could be

The lack of double glazing made the flat noisy from the street below
