The View on Vaal Resort

This place is awesome. We took a cruise on the boat as well. Close to many shops.

We're a family of 4 and a half and stayed two nights in unit 16B. The reception staff were very friendly and professional. Awesome swimming pools and well kept grounds. The sheer size and scale of the property is quite impressive. Perfect location for families who love the outdoors. The unit was spacious and practical with decent sized patio, braai and covered parking. Smart TV and air conditioning added value.

The double bed in the main bedroom will feel small if you're used to a queen or king bed and the mattress was of poor quality. Tip: twin beds with decent single mattresses that convert to king (with a mattress converter) would make more sense for a property of this type. The bathroom had an unpleasant odour (probably due to septic tank?) and the water pressure in the shower left much to be desired. Housekeeping staff seriously need some checking up on by management because it was evident that they cut corners. The sliding door urgently needs looking at by a competent handyman. A can of Doom and a couple of diffusers in each unit would also be highly recommended. If/when budget allows, consider upgrading the furniture and curtains. Penny wise, pound foolish.
