NIDHIVAN P. GUEST HOUSE

The Guesthouse is located on a quiet alley just off a somewhat quiet alley. You have a comfortable stay close to the ghats but can still get a good night’s sleep. Everything is well maintained and clean. The owner, Sandeep is a person who will do anything to help to make your stay at the hotel and your travels in India go smoothly. I experienced this firsthand. I had a problem come up about payment for a share taxi from Jaipur and Sandeep spent literally hours of his time to help resolve the situation. He not only cares about your time in Varanasi but your entire Indian experience as well. I highly recommend staying at the Nidhivan Guesthouse for its central location, comfort and caring staff.

The room is quite spacious and relatively recently renovated so it looks nice. The location of the hotel is great, close to the cafes and ghats that can be reached in 5 mins on foot. The owner is friendly, ready to help with boat trips or other questions.

The hotel is difficult to find but manageable, especially with the help of the owner who met us in the street. Note that the bath towels are not normally provided here. There were two of us and we got only one towel first and then we asked for another one, and the owner had to go and buy towels for us which was very nice of him but honestly towels are such basic things that should be in the room without making it a special request. The bathroom was not properly cleaned - the sink was dirty, there was a used razor someone left, and a trash bin had some trash from the previous guest. One day we had no warm water and could not take a shower. The room in January is cold and humid, so it is quite difficult to enjoy it but in summer it is probably delightful. The bed had two basic spring mattresses over which the bedsheet was put, no topper which one can very well feel and which affects the comfort of sleep significantly. The area around the hotel is loud, monkeys are fighting, people are shouting all the time and there is a temple nearby that also produces a lot of noise, just be prepared.

The Location is really perfect to go from on Ghat to the other. Our host is very kindly. Rooms are very clean and calm. All was very good. Nothing negative!

Nothing

This is a great little guest house, right in the middle of the of the old, historical part of Varanasi, walking distance from all the main attractions. The room was tastefully decorated, simple and clean. By far the very best part of this place are the two brothers that run it. Very friendly, ever so helpful and generous with their time, i would not hesitate to recommend their guesthouse to anyone visiting the magic of Varanasi !!

I had a great experience staying here. The room was very clean and comfortable, making it a perfect budget-friendly option near Kashi Vishwanath Mandir (just 600m away). Although the location was a bit tricky to find initially, the owner was extremely helpful and sent the exact location via WhatsApp, which made things much easier. The owner’s hospitality and willingness to assist really stood out. For the price, this stay offers great value compared to other nearby options. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple yet pleasant stay close to the temple.
