The host of the property was unbelievable. He helped me out to make my stay and visit to Varanasi so incredible. He assisted with my laundry, finding a SIM card and recommending places to go visit. He also got me a good price for a Ganges sunrise tour without me having to barter which was pleasant. There is hot water and the rooms are quite large. It is located super close to the Ganges which also make it a super convenient location for exploring. Thanks so so much for making it an incredible experience and for being so so helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in an affordable private room in Varanasi.

In India, budget and mid budget stays are always a lottery and compromise, and most often not so great, so I was a little bit hesitant with this one. But his guesthouse excided my expectation, and was probably one of the best stays I had in India when staying in the budget stays. The guest house is just about 400m and 5min walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat, so it was a very close to the main sights. Keep in mind that it is the old part of Varanasi, and in narrow streets, so it is not reachable by car, only by foot. But it is around 300m from the street, so quite close. It is easy to find, the given location is correct, and also easily findable on Google maps, and with Google maps you can find them easily. People working there were very friendly, at service, and I had good communication, even before arriving, as I was a little nervous about finding the house, but it turned ok. The inside of the guesthouse is good looking, new, and clean. Room was also clean, and spacious, bathroom ok, hot water present, towel provided. Keep in mind that it is old of Varanasi, so the streets in that area are a little bit dirty, but it turned out much cleaner then I feared, and much cleaner then actually most of streets of the entire of e.g. Kolkata, but this is a compromise you have to accept if you wish to be this close to the river and ghats. There is a quite a lot of decent (for India) restaurants in the nearby. I’m quite happy with my stay, and for this budget price, it was a great hit.

Only minor things... -A slightly warn out bed sheets and pillows in my room. -Rooms are connected with common ventilation system, so noises from other rooms often come in, like other people taking shower or talking.

Very cordial and very welcoming people. The location is near the river and the temples. Would recommend a stay here 😃.

The property is located in the labyrinth of Old Varanasi half way between Jangamwadi road and the ghats on river bank. Only 5-10 minutes walk from both sides. The whole property, the common areas, the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets. There's tv but I did not use it. The wifi worked well and I had hot water for shower. Filtered drinking water, toilet paper, towel and a small soapbar were also provided in the room. The staff was very kind and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and will definitely book room here if we come back to Varanasi. Highly recommended guest house! (My photos were taken at check out time.)

Exceeded all expectations

The location is perfect for visiting the Ghats, wandering the streets and central enough that we would swing by during the day to use our bathroom, take a break, and drop off souvenirs. They gave us a late checkout so we could continue to enjoy Varanasi. They also helped us get a great deal on a car to the airport and helped walk us to the main road where we could get picked up. The staff really went above and beyond!
