No hot water almost cold

The daytime staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially the kind woman who checked me in and the very sweet cleaning girl who came at check out. The night staff guys were unfriendly and clearly couldn’t care less about guest services. I showed them how the ventilation unit was clogged (with what appeared to be years of dust and dirt build up) and asked if I could please borrow a vacuum or a broom. I was told me no. No attempt was made to apologize for the condition of the horrific air quality which caused serious breathing problems for me. I asked for one of the air fresheners that clearly had been masking the moldy smell of the room upon arrival. It wasn’t doing the trick anymore. After several hours, I was told they didn’t have any more than one turned up when I said I couldn’t believe that their policy. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was not working for two nights (saying it doesn’t work when it rains), so no TV no Internet access for two nights. Oddly, it could not have been the rain which caused the carpet to get wet which was leaking in the room somehow. I get it’s a budget property and you get what you pay for, but I’m pretty sure there are health code violations and contractual items in their guest agreement which were broken and not adhered to, nor honored. I shared all of this and photos previously and heard nothing.

There was only one male staff member at the office who was friendly, efficient and useful when checking us in or asking for bathroom supplies.

The room did not look like it has been recently cleaned, floors were sticky, cockroaches everywhere and swarming you in your sleep, spiders and cobwebs were common, there were streaks on the wall in the room like a dog had peed on it and on our last day Neva walked in on my partner and I while we were undressed after calling out multiple times saying I was getting clothes on. She is lucky the police were not called and we will be pursuing legal measures to end her career and shut down this horrid place!

Little effort in maintaining clean sheets/bedding. We were too tired to make a big deal. It would have been nice to have clean sheets. Maybe more pillows. Not in the greatest neighborhood but we weren’t bothered.

I was given a room that not only had no phone to make even local calls, but the heater did not work. The TV kept freezing up, as there was no antenna to use.There were cigarette burns in both of the bed covers. There was a paper towel or napkin left in the peep hole on the door. It was disgusting. I called the front desk, from my personal phone to tell them about the heater. They told me to check if it was plugged in and it was. So they told me to come to the front and they would put me in another room. once I got to the new room, it was even worse. The TV had three channels that would just repeat. The curtains were ripped up pretty bad. The chair was ripped. Then I saw cockroaches on the pictures. I even got a video of it. There was trash with what looked like drug paraphernalia behind the nightstand between the two beds. And more roaches crawling on the bed that I did not use. I tried to bring this up to the staff, and I was told to contact Booking.com that they could not and would not do anything about it. I was unable to sleep, because i feared I would be bitten by the bugs and/or have them crawling on it. I did take pictures and a video.

The ladies at the front desk were awesome! They accommodated every need I had. They were super friendly and understanding. Checking in was absolutely hassle free, and that alone made the stay worth it. And the room, wow! The room was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, there were no noisy neighbors to deal with, it was peaceful and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
