Studio in Hilo Center with Pool and Lake Views

Near to downtown, airport, restaurants and freeways.

Place could use some minor maintenance work with electrical outlets, and paint.

It was amazingly clean and quiet. We slept really well. Using swimming pool was nice. Good communication with the host. No problems to cook food too.

It was a little bit tough dealing with heat without AC in the day time.

Near the airport

No airconditioning and I hope that there will be a proper lock on the screen so we can keep the door open even in night time since there is no airconditioning in the unit.

Very hot at night. It doesn’t have air conditioner so we couldn’t sleep.

The host, Vivan was very responsive and attentive.

The room was very basic and did not have a lot of amenities. The complex needs work.

Very simple, but completely sufficient studio. Close to everything. The hosts helped to make the arrival easy (you have to take a different route than suggested by Google maps to get to the rigjht building in the complex). It was nice to see nene geese at the property, and cats and (semi)wild black pigs in the bushes nearby.

A coffee table in the room. Table on the deck was nice but a place to set things while lounging inside would have been comfortable

I grew up in Hilo, and they kept the original name Waiakea Villas, but originally, this was a hotel. Then, eventually turned it into studios/condos. I love the location. Checking in and out was a breeze. Ideal location, studio is located on the first floor. Secured locks on the door. 7min from the Hilo airport. Very cozy. Lots of parking. The pool is located right outside of the patio. You'll LOVE Hilo....Enjoy the Island vibe.
