"Not the experience that I was hoping."

.....

The bed and the pillows didn't have any sheets on them. Which made the bed and pillow itchy. The room was very hot and stuffy. There were no windows. The sealed room next to where I stayed, had an air-conditioner (my room did not have an air-conditioner. Nor did I share one). About two or three times an hour, that air-conditioner would make a very loud shaking noise which woke me up every single time. I did not get to sleep at all during my stay. By midnight, I already wanted to leave. As I knew that I was not going to get any sleep staying there. By three in the morning I couldn't stand staying there anymore, so I took all my belongings and left at three in the morning. I had to wait in the streets until five in the morning for the trains to start running again. I didn't want to stay here. I stayed in many places in Japan, this is probably the most expensive place I stayed in for a weekend stay. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place. Also, this place only has a cash payment option at your arrival. So, no refunds through Booking.com. I don't imagine you will get a refund in the morning if you stay the entire night and have any complaints to the owner. Or maybe you will. I don't know. 3/10 stars.

The host is a wonderful, kind gentleman. He made us breakfast every morning and offered dinner as well. He was so enthusiastic to share Japanese culture with guests and learn more about them too! His dog, Rashi, is so sweet too! Will definitely come here again and I recommend this place to other people! Such an affordable price!

It was perfect! For those traveling by train, Takatsuki Station is a 20 minute walk but I found it to be a great way to end the day! You’ll probably walk more than that in Japan!

The owner is entirely too kind for his own good🥰 He offered to take me to the train station a few times. It was extremely helpful, especially the last day as I was running late due to my own time miscalculation 😅 It has the feel of a homestay as he likes to talk and eat together when possible. And I was very appreciative of the refrigerator and the power outlet in my room☺️

It’s a bit of a walk from the train station, though there’s also a bus you can take and is only 220 yen👍👍 The bed was a bit hard for me personally, though I was able to get a good nights sleep anyway.

Umeno-san was very kind and friendly. We enjoyed every conversation and loved his beautiful dog. The breakfast was delicious and once he got us natto to try (it was good!). The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathroom had all we needed. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you very much, Umeno-san!

Very friendly older gentleman who runs this place. He even feeds you breakfast sometimes. He genuinely wants you to feel welcome amd I think he enjoys the company.

The bathroom was a little dirty.
