Valley Lodge 3 BR Retreat in Craigantlet Hills

La maison est grande, propre. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Tom, ses poules et chèvres 😊 Nous avons crevé dans la journée, Tom nous a conduit dès le lendemain matin chez un garagiste, un hote tres serviable et sympathique.

L'extérieur qui est en travaux mais le côté jardin reste tres joli 😊

The views where stunning nearby

Unclean to the point we had to leave the property and book somewhere else on arrival. Piles of dust and dirt under all beds along with old deflated balloons, old used makeup pads all over the floor, mud in the drawers, crumbs all over the floor and surfaces, thick dust on living-room coffee table, stains on floor and couch. Unfortunately the list goes on, old food in the fridge and freezer and utility room was messy with old clothes all over the floor. The owner stated this was due to arriving early and the cleaner not having enough time, although we arrived 30 minutes early at which the owner agreed was ok the morning of arrival when he called. We will not be back. When asked for a refund the owner took no responsibility and unfortunately booking.com took no action until I contacted my PayPal.

The location was ideal for the places we wanted to visit. The Lodge itself was spacious and the hot tub was a well nice added bonus.

Location great, approach road surfacing rather rocky

The owner was very inquisitive. The property was not cleaned properly (there was a charge of £50 for this!) and there was old food from previous guests left (to help yourself to?). Not a nice feeling as surfaces for cooking and eating were grubby. Cupboards and places were stuffed with old pieces of furniture and other things. I would not recommend this

Location is great - quiet and scenic but within easy striking distance of all attractions, pubs, restaurants etc - but you need a car. Tom is an excellent host - very engaging and very helpful. It's a comfortable and sizeable property which was very good for our party of five adults. Plenty of parking and easy to access.

The house only has one toilet. The bedroom "ensuite" is limited to a shower in the corner of the room, with no wash basin and no loo. The house was not as clean as I would expect, particularly the interior glass, cooking appliances and the kitchen cupboards. There were too few drinking glasses and the bedroom cupboards had holes in the wall and debris on the floor.

It has loads of potential

The fact that a hot tub was on the property but only available when you asked the host. But unavailable the night before you leave for cleaning.

Great place to stay. Made welcome despite the last-minute booking. Well equipped and comfortable It's a nice quiet location to enjoy a break in and around Belfast

Wow I booked to stay here with my friends for a weekend trip to Belfast and it was amazing. Thomas was a great host - we had such a laugh, he was very kind and even offered to take us into Belfast so we wouldn’t have to get a taxi. The hot tub was lovely and clean, we woke up to chickens outside which was a lovely surprise. The place is huge and has everything you need - even came with fresh eggs, milk, fruit. We will be back for sure! The perfect stay, couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks again Thomas, we’ll see you soon!
