Valley Lodge 3 BR Retreat in Craigantlet Hills

Great location for Belfast city centre. Check in was easy and Tom was available if we needed anything. Kids enjoyed seeing the horses and chickens

Tom is a lovely guy and was easy to communicate with. He met us when he arrived to give us access. Location was good for us. Views are good and living room was comfortable.

There are not 2 bathrooms as advertised. There is one (which floods the floor when the shower is used) and a random shower literally in the corner of the bedroom. The kitchen had not been cleaned following the previous guests and we spent quite a bit of time wiping down the counters, floor etc. The fridge and freezer were also full of food of various degrees of freshness. 2 out of the 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds but one needs the mattress replaced. The bed linen was clean but quite dishevelled and as there are animals on the property, there was goat and horse hair on some of the sheets and pillow cases from being dried on the washing line. The kitchen is not well equipped and there was nothing that could be used to cook food in the oven. Under the sink, there were dirty cloths and sponges.

The views were absolutely stunning ! we got to meet the animals up there , the host Tom was super friendly and so kind. The house itself was absolutely beautiful everything was spotless and so cosy. we enjoyed the use of the hot tub which made the trip even more relaxing. All extra amenities were provided for and tom couldn't have been more helpful. would definitely stay again!

This rental property is a hidden gem in belfast! The house was beautiful, comfortable and had every needed facility plus more. The location was a short bus ride to the city center and our host Tom was incredibly friendly with any information or advice we needed throughout our stay. Can’t recommend this property and host enough!

Don’t have any complaints about the property , would love to return in the future.

Big and spacious

I cannot recommend Tom as a host enough! This man was fantastic from our arrival to our departure. Doing things above and beyond for us. It was our first time in Belfast, he was fantastic giving us a lift to the local park and ride and back again with no hassle. Full of information on Belfast history telling us the best places to go. As an older group of females (aged 40+) we felt at ease as he made us feel comfortable. Firing up the hot tub sorting out bbq. He made us a little gift basket with some yummy goodies and our national Scottish drink to make us feel at home. Some fresh eggs from his chickens too. The house is beautiful well equipped with everything you’d find in your own home and in a fantastic location with stunning views. A true Irish gentleman, he even took me to the local town to pick up some Chinese food instead of waiting for a delivery. You won’t regret a stay at valley lodge! We are all going back with our partners and children in the future. Thanks again Tom! You made my hen weekend getaway even more special.

Very spacious, modern, clean, open plan with great kitchen, dining and lounge areas, whole run of the property, spacious bbq area, gas bbq, large jacuzzi, outdoor covered area, car park. Host was amazing and took care of our guests, great entertainer, went out of his way to make everyone feel at home, cant rate both him and the accommodation highly enough

Could not find fault with anything.. one of the best properties we have stayed at.
