Beach Comber - Hastings

The location is superb next the the beach, parking (payable .... get a season ticket!) and near to shopping and restaurants. The flat was very suitable for short stays and very clean. A very good stay overall.

The property was easy to find & access and in a wonderful location, the views from the living room over the seaside were fantastic. The property was just like the photographs, a lovely large living/dining room, 2 bathrooms both with great showers with plenty of pressure. The bedrooms were nice sizes and plenty of cupboards/hanging space as needed, and the bedding was clean and perfectly fine. I normally struggle with pillows in hotels, but these were fine for me. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked several meals, and it was great that a bottle of decent Fairy washing up liquid was there for washing up. There was an incredible independent butcher around the corner called Beak & Tail, the sausages and bacon were superb, and lots of lovely independent cafes in the local area too. I highly recommend a coffee on the beach at The Kelpie which is along the Bottle Walk on the right hand side of the pier.

Both beds were quite dated and good enough to sleep on, but not great. The one in the back bedroom with the metal frame was very squeaky. The wifi was fine, but I did a few random speedtest checks across the days we stayed, and it struggled to get over 5mbps, despite the low results I was able to watch shows on Amazon Prime & Netflix, and use my mobile device at the same time with no problems (I used my own logins as paid for streaming is not included). Neither of these things would stop me from booking again or recommending to others.

Noise from a nearby bar (Tin Tin's I think) was quite disturbing at night with people shouting around 2am. Shower went hot and cold continuously during use. Grass area outside appartment is a hotspot for weed smoking, balloons and alchaholics.

Nice lounge, well decorated, lovely view.

Bedrooms, dark, lighting poor. No mirror - had to walk the whole length of flat to find a mirror! beds uncomfortable . The constant smell of marijuana coming from balcony of other flats crept into lounge when balcony doors were open - not nice

We liked the location and the view, balcony, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great.

We found parking difficult. Street parking was restricted and £3.50 an hour. The underground car park was £11 for 24 hours but after that no return so in the 2 days we had to park 400 meters away and that was also restricted to 24 hours. Overall parking for 2 days as we had 3 cars family from different areas was £73.50.
