"As it says, historic and charming in a great location for the university."

8.0

Brilliant location on Don Street and we managed to park easily with the permit. There were great places for breakfast just across the main road in the university. The cottage is as it says, historic and charming. This has been enhanced by really gorgeous interior design. Fun. Great shower. Thank you for the chocolate and wine, we enjoyed that. The kitchen is well lit by an enormous ceiling window, and it was nice to have the little decked outside space. The upstairs bedroom had enough room for two suitcases on the floor and cupboards in the eaves. Good washing machine.

Stairs up to the bedroom are extremely steep. The bathroom is downstairs. The metal bed upstairs squeaked, we managed to improve it by tightening the screws with an Allen key that we happened to have. Mattress wasn't great. The bedroom under the stairs has a double bed but the space around it is quite tight. There was shouting in the street in the night.

"enjoyable and cosy."

7.0

we loved that our hosts left milk, teabags, crisps and chocolate/fudge. We loved the modern quirkiness of the house, the wood burner was a plus given the continuous wet weather. The cottage was very warm and inviting.

The downstairs bed was not comfy as the mattress had a dip in the middle which meant my husband and I had backache and did not manage a good nights sleep. The noise from the road was fairly loud with busy traffic which was surprising given it is such a narrow, one-way side road. We had a complaint from one of the neighbours for parking outside their property, but we were just parked further up the street (not on a yellow line) as the road is too narrow to park immediately outside the rented property. (maybe some helpful suggestions where to park without upsetting locals)

"Great location and lovely property"

9.0

The location was fantastic for us with a dog, Seaton park on the doorstep and the area was lovely. The accommodation was so clean and the decor lovely. Shower was great. Washing machine was really handy and capsules left for you to use. Such a lovely property being dog friendly was fantastic for us.

Cobbled streets, as others have said this makes the property noisy when cars go past. Also was some noisy neighbours at odd times of the night for short periods. Stairs as everyone have said are a challenge when coming down, going up fine. Not sure if there was one but could have done with a veg peeler. Didn't appreciate quite how far it was to walk into the main city centre but that's our fault and buses were every 10 mins or so.

"Loved it! Perfect for our family."

Quirky & quaint; this flat was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the Old Aberdeen location and appreciated the parking.

The drying rack needs a scree replaced. I was surprised there weren't separate containers for recyclebles.

"Very comfortable stay in a wonderful location."

9.0

Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Fresh milk in fridge and treats left. Very quiet. Warm. Kitchen very light, airy and warm. Great bathroom.

Steep stairs (which we knew about in advance) would be a an issue for those with mobility issues. We used the downstairs bedroom. Maybe a couple more cooking pans?

"A unique and very comfortable place to stay."

We loved the location, the history of the area and proximity to lovely local parks. The property was beautifully decorated/ styled, very clean and had everything we needed. The parking permit was a great bonus.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
