"Wonderful place with welcoming, thoughtful hosts in a great location. Thoroughly recommended."

10.0

Everything was wonderful, the house is beautifully finished, decorated and dressed, spotlessly clean and we were delighted with our "Scottish" gifts on arrival - that was so thoughtful and welcoming.

Nothing could have made this better, it was perfect for our holiday!

"The nicest and most unusual cottage that I have stayed in."

9.0

This is a beautiful, quirky, cosy cottage. Ideally placed to explore old Aberdeen, which is a beautiful place. As has been said before, the stairs are not for everyone, but we managed fine. Everything has been thought of; including providing a parking permit to park your car on the road. We had a lovely stay.

Be aware that the cottage is on a cobbled street, so there is a fair bit of traffic noise. A small thing, but there is no spare plug socket in the downstairs bedroom. This means that there isn't a bedroom lamp, which is a shame.

"Perfect Location for the University and City Centre"

7.0

The location was perfect for us as we were visiting Aberdeen University which was literally two minutes away. The property was freshly decorated, we particularly liked the panelling in the living room. The little courtyard was nice. The bathroom was fresh and clean. I also like the log burner in the living room. Great little hide-away in the bathroom for the washing machine etc.

The parking was a bit of a hope you can get a space deal, it's also a one-way street which makes it hard if spaces are lacking. The downstairs bedroom really wasn't big enough to be classed as a bedroom, the bed was in at an angle, under the window with no real space around it. In order to plug anything in in this room I had to unplug the modem. I didn't see the upstairs bedroom as the stairs were too steep for me to look up there but my daughter said it was a good size, but even she who is a dancer didn't find the stairs easy - however we did know about this before booking. There weren't enough sockets in the living room either, although there was an abundance of them in the kitchen. For my own personal taste I would have preferred a more cosy, homely decor.

The property's owners have really put their heart and sole into making the cottage into a fabulous stay. There were so many details that made the property unique. A perfect stay and would recommend it completely. We will definitely book again when back in Aberdeen.

"Excellent. Would book again!"

10.0

Historic cottage with stylish and modern amenities located in the loveliest part of the city. Steps away from St Makar's Cathedral and the University. The bed linens were crisp and cozy and the beds very comfortable. Dean was immediately responsive to any of my questions and he had excellent suggestions for dining and activities.

We had never seen stairs like the ones up to the second bedroom. They were a little steep and the footholds were unique. For a historic cottage I thought they were charming, but could be difficult to navigate for older travelers.

"Felt like a home away from home. Loved it!"

Breakfast was not included but that didn't stop our wonderful hosts from leaving some butteries, Scottish short bread and other treats to welcome us. The location was superb. Easy access to old Aberdeen with lovely park walks near by. Close to all public transport routes if you don't hire a car.
