Meadow Cottage - Secluded Woodland Cottage with Private Hot Tub

We spent a wonderful weekend at this lovely cottage in Dorset with my husband and our little sausage dog, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and attention to detail. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is absolutely ideal — peaceful and surrounded by stunning countryside, yet close enough to explore Dorset’s charming villages and coastal walks. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and nearby trails — it truly felt like a home away from home for all of us. We couldn’t recommend this cottage highly enough — perfect for couples, small families, and dog lovers looking for a peaceful escape. We’re already planning our next visit!

A little tired.

The cottage was very clean and tidy. Great position for travelling to the Jurassic coast and we appreciated how quiet it was. A fantastic place to relax for a weekend! The staff was also amazing, we had a small issue which was fixed immediately despite it was not urgent. They also provided clear instructions on how to reach the location and were very responsive for any questions we had.

Would have appreciated some hooks by the sink in the bathroom as we found there was not enough space to hang the towels.

Great stay. This is the second time we have stayed and loved it ! The hotub was a great way to relax after a BBQ in the garden . We went to the golf club house for a drink. We had to go through the wood, which was a lovely walk to get their easy signs to follow.

The bed was comfortable, hot tub was pleasant, bathroom was well resourced, towels and robes were provided

The floor was quite dirty in places, one of the plates was dirty, bed had some strange marks on it.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen area and the little table outside were ideal for our needs and we LOVED the hot tub in our private garden. We loved the quiet and privacy the cottage afforded us and it was wonderful to be outside a town/neighbourhood so all we heard was the sound of the birds.

We were there on a particularly hot weekend and forgot to bring a fan so we kept the windows and doors open as much as possible, which let in a lot of moths and, unfortunately, hornets! We had a horrible hornet situation the last evening and couldn't get them all out! One other downside was the lack of wardrobe, but we made do with the drawers and hooks on the wall. We also would have loved to have a mop as we tracked in a fair bit from the outside, particularly onto the bathroom floor. But otherwise, the place really was fantastic!
