Kilimanjaro Lodge - MCF

Lovely lodge, we booked it very last minute as we needed somewhere to stay before catching different flights from Kilimanjaro Airport. We arrived and left in darkness but the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Pool area looked good and the bar/restaurant/reception area was decent. Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water. Staff were very friendly too which always helps. Good wine selection too, I had no idea

We departed at 06:00 in the morning, it would have been a nice touch to have some coffee or fruit before we left but not a huge deal. They didn't really have an evening food menu as such so they offered to knock up a curry for us, it was very tasty but would have been nice to have a bit of choice. There isn't anything around the lodge so take a good book with you, it's very quiet!

The campus is beautiful with a wonderful lodge and porch that looks out at Mt Kilimanjaro (if it isn't cloudy), a really nice large pool, pretty gardens and lovely murals painted on the buildings. The manager, Lady, is amazing. Prior to my arrival I had questions about shipping items and had been led to believe that I had no options by my trek agency. I decided to ask Lady if she knew of any options, and not only did she advise of some very good options, she told me that when I was ready, she would help me get the shipping done! Which she did! She had it all arranged for me! She also had advice and assistance on so many other things, like arranging for me to get to a gear rental place ahead of my trek. I loved the place so much that I stayed there twice. Before and after my trek. Thanks for a great stay!

The staff was extremely attentive and kind. Consessa was a gem and offered to walk me and my dad to the local market. We really enjoyed her company and insight. I hope to see her again! The grounds were beautiful. The staff kept the property spotless. They even have their own vegetable garden. Past the fence there is a lovely river, giving you the sense you're outside the city. We had an amazing dinner, one of the best I had during my month in Africa. The room was comfortable, with a nice deck outside overlooking the garden.

The shower was a bit tricky and the floor does get wet, but no big deal.

Está vez nos dieron una habitación en el edificio principal. También era muy amplia y bonita. El baño estaba muy nuevo y la cama súper cómoda.

El agua caliente es con termo y dura muy muy poco. Volvíamos de hacer un trekking en el Kilimanjaro muy sucios y tuvimos que ducharnos por turnos esperando a que se volviera a calentar el agua.

La amabilidad del personal y la disposición por ayudarte ante cualquier cosa. Llegamos muy temprano y nos dejaron hacer un early check-in y no nos pusieron más que facilidades. Nuestra habitación era una pequeña cabaña muy bonita con jardín alrededor. Se duerme de lujo, solo se oye el río que pasa cerca. La cama es muy cómoda.

Está un poco apartado con lo que necesitas transporte para ir a cualquier sitio.

Great stay, the breakfast was fabulous and the pool was refreshing. The room was super comfortable. The garden was really relaxing and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Hotel, gutes Frühstück und sehr nette hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Insgesamt war es ordentlich und sauber und die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Hotel liegt an einem Fluss und es ist sehr ruhig gelegen.
