Cosy barn with views in Wick Vale of Glamorgan

The garden and view was nice. The size was good.

We had multiple issues. The decor is very tired and neglected with broken curtains, broken tap, broken door to outside, the double mattress was not usable (ended up lashing two singles together which wasnt good), the bedrooms were unclean as was down the sofa. The cigarette tray outside was full, there was a leak on the floor of some kind of dark liquid. The hot water was cold multiple times so we couldn't shower when we needed to. We raised this all immediately with the property owner, sent pictures and videos but got no response. We even asked for money back and have had no response over a month later.

unfortunately the cleanliness let it down. Cooker needs replacing as does the radiators in both bathrooms, very rusty.The bed in the main bedroom squeaked every time you sat on it or turned over (this was mentioned in other reviews and has obviously not been rectified!). There was a grey stain on the bedding in this bed although I think the bedding and towels were clean,. We couldn't get the tv to work at all. No phone reception either.

Quiet location, spacious barn. Bed was comfy. Well furnished & well equipped. Even though it’s very rural, it’s close enough to local amenities. There was a good info’ book with places to eat and visit.

The barn could do with a little maintenance, the shower was slow draining, so had to stop shower a few times. The bed was very squeaky. Kitchen tap wasn’t secured, so hanging down. Some of the cutlery and glasses needed checking for cleanliness. The entrance gate was loose and we struggled to open/close it. We had a power cut most the day and couldn’t get hold of any one to see what the issue was.

Amazing setup with the big windows, the amount of natural light made this stay gorgeous. Very private area and the heating/fire kept the place lovely and warm. Was a lovely and romantic getaway, will look to book again!

Master bed was very squeaky, didn't keep us up but it was noticeable.

On arrival we were delighted with the location and the layout of the barn. Perfect size for our family, and lovely view.

We were very happy on arrival. Unfortunately we ran in to some issues, the door never locked. I reported this on the first evening of our 2 night stay. I had to send a video of it not locking. A handyman was sent 24 hours later, and despite his best efforts the door could not be immediately fixed. So we slept in with each of our children instead for security on both nights. On the 1st morning we didn’t have heating and hot water so our children couldn’t have a bath before we went out and I had a cold shower. We were out all day with family then as planned. I reported this and it was sorted by the time came home that evening. The double bed was extremely creaky.

Beautiful location. Attractive barn.

Sliding door didn't open properly and didn't lock. Property was cold upon entry. Owner helped start boiler in out house but management company hadn't made him aware of our arrival. Twin bedded bedroom smelt of sewage. General need to TLC. No hot water on second morning for a shower. Broker pots outside. Broken glass outside.

The house itself was okay and the location is lovely.

The house needs some TLC and better attention paid while cleaning the property. Main problems were: Broken chair in kitchen - the glue has dried and the whole back portion lifts off when you move the chair. Double bed is unbearably creaky. Kitchen tap is extremely loose. You have to use two hands to operate it and hold it in place. Bedroom doors are very difficult to open due to the thick carpets. Someone’s underwear was left in bedroom closet.
