THE WORST APARTMENT AND OWNER WE'VE EVER HAD. My girlfriend and I went on a romantic vacation and chose this apartment to stay in. They had no reviews and we took the risk of booking them first. On the website, we chose a room with a "French window", access to the terrace and a PRIVATE balcony. The owner remotely put us in a room located in the entrance on floor 0. In France, this is called a rez-de-chaussée. The room did not match the photo or description on the website at all. There are no windows in the apartment, the owner called the stairwell in the entrance that leads to the neighboring apartments a «balcony», and the terrace can only be accessed through other people's apartments. The owner called the front door with a large window leading to the entrance a "French window." The window was covered only by a curtain. All the residents of the apartments above pass by this door. The room is damp and has a terrible moldy smell. We wrote several times to the owner asking him to resolve this issue. We asked him to move us to a better room, which is located on the floor above, and which was vacant at the time. There was a window in the apartment above. We even offered to pay extra money for the accommodation several times. The reason was clear, because my girlfriend has claustrophobia, which the owner knew about! The owner is a stubborn and arrogant Italian who only replied that it was not possible, because he had already decided where we will live and did not plan to provide us with better conditions, since we were LYING about the inadequacy of the apartment. And he wished us a good vacation. After a complete lack of desire to solve the problem, we were forced to communicate with the booking company all day and explain the problem. They called the owner and explained the reason. After all, we just wanted to be moved to a room that matched the description. To which the owner began to THREATEN us.
