Big fireplace aga hot tub wet room barn garage

Big house, very retro had a blast.

The size

The only thing that was note worthy was the location.

The accommodation looked recently vacated, presumably by the owner. Dirty towel found on an office chair, fresh washing up in the sink, rubbish all over hot tub room. 2 of 3 bedrooms, obviously recently slept in, wardrobe full of shirts. Dirty towel on the floor of one room. Empty cans in the garden and garage. TV in the main room didn't turn on. The property, in general, did not feel safe, almost like someone could walk in at any point or was already within the house. Due to this, we never stayed in the property, but instead, booked into a hotel for the night. We would never return.............

The property wasn’t very clean, we found bottles of beer and stuff in the barn and the photos are not as it looks now, it wasn’t very clean , we weren’t able to use the television due to it not coming on and no battery’s for the remotes it was just not working.

There was smashed glass on the steps to the hot tub under the steps and was to worried to use hot tub incase there was glass in there.... host absolutely useless and can't return a message

The Good bits - the living room and kitchen were nicely decoated

The bad bits - Had to chase the host for the key code to the lock box Dirty socks left in a bedroom Felt like someone was living there and had just moved out of the few days we were there; there were half-eaten bags of food in the freezer, half-used shampoo, conditioner, etc in the bathroom, wardrobes with clothes in etc Empty beer cans lying around in the hot tub room and the garage Couldn't play darts as there was only 1 usable dart Could only get the living room TV and main bedroom TV to work, but there were literally dozens of remotes all around the house so who knows we might have needed one of them. The Sky TV didn't work in the bedroom on the first night, but as it was late didn't complain. Woke to a message the next morning saying 'Sky man' was due round to fix the sky in the bedroom garage etc, and would we be in to let them in? Felt like we were a tenant, not a holiday maker - said we wouldn't be in, so they arranged for someone to come round and let them in, which also felt a bit odd, as all of our stuff was still there. When we got back to the house, the SKy in the bedroom hadn't been activated - luckily I am quite tech minded so managed to do that and also programmed the Sky remote to the TV so we could change volume. Hot tub was all frothy on arrival, queried it and was told they would drop off anti-foam the next day - ths was left outside at 7.15pm the next day for us to deal with. I'm sure there were more problems, but this is all I can remember at this moment!

Bedrooms, outside area, facilities in the garage There was dirty underwear left underneath the bed and rubbish in main bedroom.

Large house with many facilities Extensive rooms and large garden. Hot tub hot and bubbling on arrival. Bathroom upstairs and toilet & and walk-in shower on the ground floor. Full kitchen facilities.

The hot water failed, so no showers or warm water wash. The stairs are steep with narrow treads. The half landing had two short stairs to the bathroom and bedrooms, respectively. This made moving in this area complex and potentially dangerous, especially for an elderly or unsteady person. The keybox was a long way down a side road from the front door.
