Stylish & central apartment close to the beach

Location.

The overall entrance to the building is not great and off putting but it’s not a reflection of the apartment which is of a high standard, very clean and well equipped. I used the back gate once I checked in to leave and return to the property much more pleasant. Nice outside patio with table and chairs. Penlee Park 2 mins away and 5 min walk to the beach amazing location.

Good location, close to seafront, shops, parks etc, and the apartment was available at short notice. Nice shower. Private entrance.

The hosts have clearly been doing a lot of work refurbishing the apartment, which has potential to be great. But, they really need to 'up their game' and get the details right if they want to charge £1100+ for a week's stay! Ultimately we were left disappointed. We wouldn't stay again and we wouldn't recommend - there was building work ongoing to the exterior of the apartment, which we weren't informed about until after making the non refundable booking. - on arrival the fold out bed listed in the facilities was missing (we needed this for our kid). This meant late evening calls to sort out. Not a disaster but a stress and a faff after a long day's travelling. - the curtains in the bedroom were wet. Apparently the previous guest stayed with a cat and a dog and the curtains got dirty and needed washing. By the third day of our stay, they still hadn't dried out and we're beginning to smell, so we took them down and re hung them to air and dry ourselves. - on the subject of cats and dogs, the bedroom still smelled of them. Perhaps if you have a guest staying with pets for a month, give yourself time to properly clean, air, and prepare the apartment before the next guests arrive! - we also overheard one of the hosts referring to the previous guest as 'a bit of a nutter'. I wonder what they will say about us! - some of the bed linen and towels had holes in them. Certainly not the end of the world, but again, when you're paying ££££... - basics such as a dustpan and brush or vacuum we're missing, which made clearing up tricky. - the dishwasher shorted the electrics twice. The second time happened late evening and we didn't want to bother anyone, so we put up with having no power until the following day.

I loved everything about the apartment - the location, the cleanliness and the price. Hannah is a great host, she responded immediately to all our queries. I can recommend the place to anyone.

There's nothing I didn't like.
