The Wharfe - Cosy, comfortable retreat

Lovely accommodation with really friendly hosts. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.

There was nothing I didn’t like

We had a lovely three night stay at the wharfe. Buckden is really quiet, but well placed to visit other areas in the Dales. The cottage was spotless, the welcome basket was amazing (and ranks amongst the best/most well stocked of all the places we've stayed). The cottage is pet friendly with plenty of back roads + lots of green spaces around to exercise  our pooch. Vicky and Richard were very friendly and provided lots of information prior to arrival. They welcomed us when we arrived and were on hand in case of need. Thoroughly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Ticked all our boxes. The hosts gave us a lot of info about the area. Where to eat , where to walk ect. Loved the supplies as well.

Comfortable, well equipped with attention to detail including a welcome pack, information leaflets and a map Friendly welcome Location was fab for walking, exploring the Dales and the Buck Inn opposite was excellent

Excellent location , dog friendly, wonderful local walks.

The Wharfe is cosy and the location is perfect. Lovely fresh bedding, towels and robes which all smelt wonderful. The fresh flowers and welcome pack of goodies were appreciated, as was the freshly ground coffee, although there was no milk as promised, probably just an oversight. Dogs are also well catered for. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was hot and powerful. The huge bed was so so comfy!

For us, the kitchen lacked a few items such as a measuring jug, oven tray, tin foil and extra bin bags. This would not be a problem for others who may eat out, but we self-catered for two days. The plates needed a wash before use and the fridge could have been wiped over. The only other concern was the mass of cobwebs behind the headboard - wish I hadn't seen them before bedtime!

Very practical - everything you need - very beautiful taste and lovely attention to detail. Pub across the road - walks on your doorstep and they are dog friendly.

The cottage was so quant and characterful Exactly what we look for. Everything we needed mostly! Including robes. Pub literally opposite. Great stay with lovely walks

We had booked as a dog friendly accommodation. Which it was regards being welcomed, dog towels, bowls and treats. But we had zero outdoor space to let them go to the toilet. Meaning throwing on a dressing gown and walking on the public road.

Everything it was fantastic excellent kitchen facilities comfy bed and Richard and Vikki made my partner birthday extra special xxx
