Brighton Inn & Camping Resort

I liked the place itself. The room was quiet and clean, the WiFi worked well. The location is right in front of the beach. The staff is nice, when you catch them...

No one really checks who goes in and out. My locker broke when I closed it so the staff needed to unconventionally open the locker. I had a room just for myself and someone wanted to come in at 1am in the night with another key. Good, that I locked it with that metal thing, so once the guy opened the door he couldn't fully open it to enter. The staff wanted to check CCTV for that but never mentioned anything until I checked out, which was just leaving the key at their desk, where no one is sitting.

The room was clean, cozy, and had a nice vibe. I appreciated the privacy curtains on the bunks, which made for a comfortable sleeping environment. The mattress was surprisingly comfy, ensuring a good night’s sleep.

I recently stayed at Brighton Inn and had a fantastic experience! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from major attractions and public transport.

Clean, great location just beside the beach. Facilities are ample. Lots of restaurant and food places all around. Only <10 min car ride to the city centre.

Tarim her car takes videos of the people staying there. She took a video of me getting into a GRAB and the cleaning lady getting into the back seat. I was giving her a ride to the Chinese celebration near where she lives. She showed me the video the manager took and posted on the employee chat. I was offended someone would take a secret video of me. Especially with the CCD camera near the bathroom. Also an entry alarm was on for two days and management did not fix it. Hard to sleep because of the constant beeping.

The property is clean & everything looks new. No issues in quality of the beds & rooms air conditioned. Well located to the beach as well as having food options near (both chain & smaller independent places) despite being a little ways out the centre of town.

Staff, although some tried to be helpful, didn't seem to have power to do anything when asked. They also weren't there for half the day if anything was needed. No toilet paper in the entire property for half of my stay, despite asking for it. Question was just avoided until the property got busier? Guess that seemed justification to put it in...No cutlery, plates, or cups/mugs in the kitchen area. Breakfast (one tub of noodles or rice, depending on what you're given) was missing one of the days & just never showed up. Be aware they charge tourism tax for dorm room stays in which tourist tax only applies for booked rooms. Attempts to rectify this or explain were met with confusion & avoidance. Being told the manager will come to help rectify. But they never showed up..resulting in me waiting for hours when being told they would be here shortly. Then only to be referred to booking.com as apparently it's their fault..despite paying the tourist tax separately straight to the property.
