Tidal Walk

Location, didn't need to use the car, beautiful walks along the seafront. Great pubs. Made very welcome in harwich.

The property was very dirty

Info booklet on how to operate heating ,cooker, etc.lack of cooking utensils simple things like spatula , kitchen scissors, corkscrew. Dirty grill pan and shower head.could do with some throws to cover stained settee.

The beds and sofa were very comfortable. We liked the beams and fireplace . Bed linen and towels were excellent.

The location very near a noisy pub and on a noisy road. There was no double glazing at the front of the house and no bedrooms were at the back of the house- so made sleeping difficult. The kitchen was not well equipped but didn’t really impact us as we didn’t spend much time there.

The living space was lovely and well presented

No hairdryer, the ceiling at the very bottom of the stairs was very low, caught my head a few times - no fan provided

Had everything we wanted. Nice that things such as shower gel, shampoo and hand wash provided. Everything worked.

Very little not to like. Fridge could have done with a defrost, as ice box impossible to use.

Theoretisch ein schönes Cottage… wenigstens waren die Betten sauber.

Das was uns am meisten gestört hat war, die „Sauberkeit“. Als wir angekommen sind, hat es zunächst von Fliegen nur so gewimmelt im Cottage. Das liegt wohl am Müll der einfach hinten in den kleinen Hof geworfen wurde. Der Kühlschrank war stark verschmutzt von Vorgängern ebenso wie die Geschirrtücher… aber das schlimmste war, dass die Dusche dreckig war und der Abfluss offenbar dadurch verstopft war, sodass sie nicht genutzt werden konnte… Das Cottage liegt in der Nähe eines Pubs und so ist es leider auch unter der Woche sehr laut bis spät abends. Wer das obere Bett hat, muss sehr beim runtergehen der Treppe zum Bad aufpassen: die Treppe ist steil und hier existiert keine Sicherung oder ein Handlauf oder Ähnliches!

It could have been cleaner. Fridge only had 1 shelf in it. Not enough cutlery . Kitchen could do with a deep clean oven was grimy. Pillows could do with a wash. It very noisy at night due to pub 2 doors away.
