The rooms are beautiful, clean, everything you would expect in a 4* hotel was available. All staff really friendly, special shout for Liam who really tried hard to make our stay perfect. The restaurant food quality was brilliant though breakfast was served cold and slightly let down the experience. Our stay was for a visit to Beamish which is also fantastic

Bar was not available late though arrangements were made to accommodate us. Breakfast was cold (maybe needs a plate warmer).

The photo was lovely, with second to none staff who were very welcoming on arrival, the pub was done out lovely and had a quirky charm to it! I’d highly recommend. Loved all the car parking availability too.

There was nothing to not like

Well appointed location for us to visit family in a quiet setting. Our room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and dressed to a high standard. The bed and sumptuous pillows ensured a great sleep. Spacious bathroom with bath & shower again with high spec fixtures and fittings. All the staff especially Pauline at breakfast were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Restaurant food is of a high quality with plenty of choices.

Staff are exceptional. The rooms are so well appointed, beautifully finished. We were made so welcome, Diane even cleaned the bird poo off our car for us and there was a lot. The food is superb and reasonably priced. A great atmosphere, would definitely book again.

Bedroom was finished to a very high standard, very comfortable beds and a very relaxed feel. Lovely add on with some sloe gin and posh nuts. Great surprise ! Breakfast tasty. Staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable through out stay. Restaurant has a great vibe, food was value for money and delicious!

Dirty toilet paper all over the toilet brush No liquid soap in the dispenser No towels Lights didn’t work consistently Nowhere to sit and use lap top Bathroom door didn’t easily shut but when shut couldn’t easily open without a spanner Lots of plastic flowers Cheap fixtures and fittings Breakfast poor - white sliced toast pale not toasters well with 2sausages tomato and beans. For the cost very basic. Staff said feedback was my opinion - even the lack of towels Closed when we arrived at 9:30 - the night porter let us in but no little lights to guide in the dark , ground had small holes to trip over.
