Super cheap night stay with all of the basic facilities you’d need in a room. Aircon, a fan, hair dryer, shower etc. Stayed here a night before starting the Ha Giang loop and staff were super helpful.

Beds were rock solid and was a very uncomfortable night sleep. Get comfier mattresses and this place would be perfect!

Day 1: At 4am the owner unlocked my room door, turned on the lights, shouted in Vietnamese, and left leaving the door open and lights on. Probably the same happened in another room with another tourist as she started screaming shortly thereafter. Day 2: Overbooked, the owner tried to kick me out from my bed and his hotel AFTER I showed him my booking.com confirmation AND paid in cash for the room. Reason: “I forgot to turn off booking.com, I have no space for you”. Day 3: The booking.com reservation states the checkout time of 11:30am. At 10:08 the owner came to my room and said that “You have to leave because I have guests checking in at 11:00 and the room has to be cleaned”.

The place is centrally located and has pretty complete list of amenities for a small Vietnamese town. They offer motorbike rental and the staff was very helpful in making recommendations for things to see and eat while in Ha Giang.

We came in on the night bus arriving in the early morning. I wrote the hotel notifying them of this and requesting an early check in. They responded positively then wrote back later (while we were already on the bus) telling us they couldn't accommodate the request. When we arrived, early early in the morning, they scrambled to find us a room and ended up kicking a sleeping employee out of a room for us. The room had two beds and one remained used and unmade for the duration of our stay. We sleep in the other. They charged us an additional night stay because we arrived us early with an additional charge because the room had two beds instead of one as we reserved. Then they charged for luggage storage while we were touring and whatever else miscellaneous charges they could muster. The amounts weren't significant but annoying.

I booked the room with the balcony and city views. Needless to say there were no city views from the room, as the aforementioned balcony was actually the corridor passing by my room to the other rooms and my window was blacked out because people were passing it to get to their rooms. So no window at all nevermind views. Total misrepresentation. Disgusting

Fair value & good location. Room was nice and bathroom as well.

Bed was hard as a rock and we both woke up sore and restless
